Our Simple Way Act Of Kindness: Feeding and Giving of Groceries to the Most Needy|20% reward to @steemitphcurator|by @maris75

Warmest greetings to all my kababayan out there!

This is @maris75 from Visayas region particularly in Cebu Philippines.

Last Sunday October 24, 2021 we had an event, our simple act of kindness. This event was planned 2 weeks before that day. We agreed to contribute some of our SBD in order to raise funds, others also who has a generous heart contributes cash. This event was also supported by our very kind heart #steemitphilippines community admin namely sir @juichi and sir @loloy2020. Fortunately by God's grace many contributed and we raised enough funds.

We chose the place located in Zone Ahos, Paknaan, Mandaue City. This area was recommended because many families here were experienced extreme poverty specially this time of pandemic. This area is often flooded when there's even a little rain and the river overflows easily.

Thanks God, that day of the event the weather was good. Early in the morning, our team headed by @liamnov prepared food for the feeding program and packing of groceries and some school supplies. We were 7 steemians in that event. Everyone was busy and cooperating. We prepared the food packs that consists of rice, fried chicken, and bam-i. We also packing the groceries to be given away to the intended families and children.

Around 11am we finished and ready to go in the said area. Some of my colleagues went there first to set up the venue. We were excited to meet those people there and hoping that the food packs and groceries will be enough for them. I'm a bit worried because we prepare about 100 food packs and 50 packs of groceries. When we reached the venue, the children and older ones were excited waiting for us.

So here we are also excited and eager to distribute our gifts for them.

The Distribution Moments!

In the distribution, we prioritized the youngest one then followed by the next upper age. When all children were already given, then adults also availed the food packs. The same process in the distribution of school supplies and grocery packs, we gave first the younger ones followed by the older ones. Honestly, I feel blessed to personally handed over the gifts we had for them. To saw their sweet smile and hearing them say thank you, I felt an inner happiness.

It was such a successful event. We were happy to saw them how happy they were when they received our offering to them specially the kids.

These are steemians who gave their efforts and precious time in this generous event.

Hopefully there will be another charity event happen in the future and it will continue to give to those in need. To all the contributors thank you all.
