The Diary Game: Baywalk to Limahong #club5050
This is a new tourist destination in our town, Lingayen. It's been under construction before COVID-19 and it's finally complete a year ago. They call this place "Limahong Channel". It was named after Chinese warlord who established his bases here in Pangasinan, and he dug a channel in our town to escape to the sea. The river here connects to the sea, thus you can have a view of the Lingayen Gulf, the river, and the mountains of Labrador town.
Limahong Channel is connected to Lingayen Baywalk (which is more of a coastal road now). The Baywalk stretches from the coasts of Lingayen up to the town of Binmaley. The coasts of Dagupan City has a Baywalk too but it is not yet connected to the town of Binmaley.
So this is the Baywalk (coastal road). The cloud formation looks scary, but somehow stunning. I was afraid that it might rain at that time.
This dike was built at the borders of the Baywalk connecting to the road at the Limahong area. It is good to climb up and walk in the afternoon, and enjoy the cool breeze from the sea. From this area, you can have a wider view of the connection of the river and the sea.
It's already the sunset! This is already at the Limahong by which we went down to the shores of the river. How I wish the water would be clearer though. In this photo, I am facing southwest.
This one, I'm facing northwest. That's the river water connected to the sea water. Glad I got a nice edit on this. 😁
Zooming in, the mountains of Labrador and Sual town can be seen. That tower is at the Sual Power Plant which is being operated by NGCP. We've been at that place too, when we had a boat tour and visited two islands, and of course Masamirey Beach.
So this is the Limahong Channel Tourism Center. I am not sure about its functions. Maybe will check it out when I go back there with my wife.
The moon is already visible at that time, and it's partially cloudy.
Late afternoon until early evening is the perfect time to visit Limahong Channel to enjoy the breeze, as well as to witness the sunset. When the sun has already set, I got to capture of the beautiful view at the west side.
It was already dark, and we had our dinner there. We went home afterwards. There goes the dogs of our friend. They seem unfazed being in the dark. The picture below shows the moon when the sky is already fully dark.
awesome! i love the photos and i enjoyed the history ! how cute those dogs!
