When can we say that a person is an alcoholic? Give reasons for your answer!

A person is typically labeled as an alcoholic when their drinking behaviors have a detrimental impact on relationships, their place of employment, or their health. Loss of control over drinking, an increase in tolerance, and continued alcohol use in spite of negative effects are some signs.

A medical professional's evaluation of the patient's drinking habits and how they affect their overall health is frequently part of the diagnosis process. Some indicators that an individual uses alcohol are:

  • Short Tempered
  • Increased Anxiety and Depressive Behavior
  • Indulge in Anti Social Activities
  • Feel alone and Negative Attitude
  • Neglecting own perspective and Responsibilities
  • Socially, Mentally and Physically badly Disturbed

It's vital to remember that these symptoms can change, and a qualified evaluation is necessary for a precise diagnosis.

Do you think alcohol is a drug? justify your answer!

Indeed, alcohol is regarded as a drug. It is a psychoactive drug that alters behavior, mood, consciousness, and perception by interfering with the central nervous system. Alcohol—more especially, ethanol—is categorized as a depressant, which means that it decreases brain activity.

Because of its psychoactive qualities, abuse potential, and effects on both mental and physical health, it falls under the larger category of drugs. Furthermore, alcohol is classified as a drug due to the potential for addiction and negative health effects.

Can alcoholism be considered a disease? How to control it!

Indeed, alcoholism is frequently regarded as a disease. Alcoholism's clinical term, alcohol use disorder (AUD), refers to a condition in which a person cannot control or quit drinking in spite of harmful effects. Its development is influenced by both environmental and genetic factors, and it frequently advances over time.

The usual approach to treating alcoholism is to combine social, psychological, and medical interventions,

  • Can be controlled through Medication and Follow Up
  • Physically and Psychiatric Therapy and Counseling sessions are effective to come Back in normal life
  • Give them friendly environment and change lifestyle
  • Family and social support is one of strong way to control it's bad habit

It's critical that those who are battling alcoholism get professional assistance because treating this illness frequently calls for a thorough and customized strategy.

Is every drinker considered an alcoholic?

No, not everyone who consumes alcohol is an alcoholic. Moderate alcohol consumption or social drinking is common and does not always signify alcoholism. When drinking has a negative impact on one's relationships, career, health, or other facets of life, it becomes a problem.

Many people are able to responsibly consume alcohol without becoming alcoholics. It's critical to be conscious of one's drinking habits and to get assistance if one feels that there may be problems with alcohol consumption. Speaking with a healthcare provider can offer direction and support to someone who is unsure about their drinking habits.Well this is all of my acknowledgement to seriously take about the importance for the sake of of our healthier lifestyle and avoid such Haram Drinks.

Hello friend @uzma4882, you must always have respect for yourself, excessive alcohol is very difficult to control and the problems become latent everywhere. Successes.

Hola, saludos, excelente publicación, muy educativa, sí, el alcohol es perjudicial para la salud cuando se abusa de su consumo, gracias por la invitación.

Very true @uzma4882, not all people who consume can be called alcoholics, if they drink alcohol in moderation on occasions and can control the consumption of the drink.
When drinking alcohol, you must do so responsibly and consciously to avoid becoming an alcoholic, as it causes severe damage to your health and creates problems of various kinds.

Greetings.
