Hi there!.

There is a lot about medication and it's very mode of administration. Perhaps we might be wondering why there should be several way of administering drugs, but the answer is simple. Each drug has It's preferred way of administration based on the treatment required the time being.

There is several ways of administering these drugs but we will be discussing on the three most common case of administration which are

  1. Intramuscular
  2. Intranervous
  3. Oral medication

These are common terms used in drug administration and perhaps let's get to know what this means and their various of administration

INTRAMUSCULAR ADMINISTRATION (IM)

From its name we already know we are dealing with muscles. With this type of administration, the drug is administered to specific muscles depending on the area of treatment. Like study shows muscles are made up of high blood tissues concentration and thereby help in the absorption process of the drugs.

This mode of administration is reliable as the drug is absorb directly to the bloodstreams without having to pass through the various stages of metabolism as it is the case with other mode of administration. Hence it's faster and provide faster relief.

Care need to be taken and this type of administration as it may result to tissue damage and therefore it should be administer only by a practitioner or doctor.

INTRANERVOUS ADMINISTRATION (IV)

Nerves help in blood circulation, and hence performing intranervous injection is a more realistic way of drug administration. Here the drug is injected directly into the bloodstream of the individual through a vein. As reports state this drug does not need any form of metabolism for absorption meaning It is transported to the required region for immediate effect.

This type of medication comes about when immediate treatment is required for chronic or critical conditions, which are mostly based on life saving or in case the individual cannot take medication through other forms such as Oral medication.

Care need to be taken when administering intranervous injection. This should only be perform by a trained physician or doctor.

ORAL ADMINISTRATION

This type of administration involves taking drug by mouth. The drugs taken can come in various forms such as tablets, capsule and liquids. This method is the most common form of drug administration.

Unlike the other forms of administration oral medication is reliable, suitable an easy to take than other forms since it is painless, and has limited risk.

Contrary to this type of medication, it is slower in absorption, maybe broken down in metabolism by the digestive system and then resorting to limited effectiveness.

💉Which of the 3 methods of medication administration do you consider the fastest and most effective to relieve pain, Reasons?

Intranervous administration Is the quickest and most effective way of drug administration as it does not requires metabolism, absorption process. The drug is administered straight into the bloodstreams.. which is transported to the various location for immediate treatment.

This method is most reliable for patients and critical conditions and treatments which require urgent attention. Examples include patients in comma, patience with meningitis, Just to name a few. It's a life saving way of administration.

There is a very good medicine for our body vitamin B12, why do you think they indicate it more in injection and not in pills? Do you think they do not have the same components or the same effect?

Vitamin B12 is a drug which is more persistent to absorption. Taking it oral, means it has to combat stomach acidity and slow absorption processes which might reduce it effectiveness.

To escape this route , It is injected directly into the bloodstreams to escape slow absorption procedure and enhance direct or immediate effects into the nervous system.

💊If you are one of those who do not take pills and you do not like injections, what other method are you looking for to relieve pain or discomfort!?

This is a serious concern when it comes to drug administration. Most individuals do not like to take drugs. Perhaps I would suggest the following

Depending on how the drug should be administered, if it involves pains which can be treated externally. I will use the topical method which is applying the drug directly on top of the skin such as body rubs to relieve pains rather than swallowing pills.

Again to avoid swallowing pills, I would rather place the drug beneath my tongue to facilitate absorption. Or If the drug is inhalable, that will be much better.

And lastly, if it must be taken orally, I would prefer it powered and smeared in my food.

Wrapping up with the topic we should take note that medication are all important to our system irrespective of the method of administration, but we should be more cautious on the various forms of administration and know when to take each whenever necessary. Always visit a physician for proper administration.

Avoiding taking pills is not bad, however, when it comes to medications that have to reach the small intestine for absorption, they inevitably must be swallowed; The same thing happens with dragées or capsules.

I think it is best to avoid getting sick so as not to have to use drugs, which are combinations of chemicals unlike vitamin B12 and any other vitamin, which are organic compounds that are necessary for the normal functioning of the body.

My best wishes to you in this initiative.

If the medication can be applied externally to treat pain, then using a topical method is a great idea. Instead of swallowing pills, you can simply apply the drug directly onto your skin, like using body rubs. This way, you can target the pain and get relief without having to take pills internally. It's a more convenient and localized way to treat discomfort. All the best
