SEC-S13/W4 ||The Role of the Caregiver ♥️ ||

Assalam-o-Alaikum!

Hello everyone! I am @moazzamushtaq. I hope that you are all ok and enjoy the good life by the grace of Allah Almighty. I am here today for participating in the amazing engagement challenge which is organised by the Healthy Steem community. The tittle of the contest is "The Role of the Caregiver". So let's start the topic without any more delay of time;

Have you played the role of caregiver or do you know someone who has put it into practice? Tell us about it.

A caregiver is a person who provides physical and emotional support to individuals who are unable to care for themselves due to age, illness or any other disability. Caregivers give companionship, medication and ensure the overall well-being of the person who is in their care. This role is very challenging but is vital for the health and spending quality of life for those who need assistance.

I have also played this role in my life. Whenever in my family get ill , I give him all necessary help. I have took every memeber of my family to hospital when they got ill. Few months ago my elder brother fell into high fever. He got ill for about three weeks. In this all duration, I took him to city hospital for checkup. Beside this I gave him medicines and also care for his proper food which was issued by his doctor. Beside this for many times I have played a role of caregiver.

Do you think that caring for a sick person should be a team effort or the work of a single person?

The caring of a sick person is a role of very responsibility. A single person can also perform this responsibility but if whole memebers of a family care a sick person as a team than it will be very easy. When a sick person is given a lot of love to whole family than he will become well soon.

When a person become ill or prey to other disability, his thought may be changed and become emotional in tempor. The caring of such a person is very difficult and if all memebers give care him than it will be very easy than a care given by single person. Beside medication a sick person required love for his well-being.

What qualities do you think a caregiver should have?

As I mention above the caring of sick person is a very responsibility role. So for caring such a person, a caregiver should has all necessary qualities which may be helpful for that person. Some of them are given below:

● First of all a caregiver needed to have patience of listening all talks of sick person.

● A caregiver should have ability of cooking.

● Caregivers should have cold temper.

● Caregiver should have ability of cleaning.

● Caregivers need to be able to manage the medication of a patient.

● He should be a good communicater.

● He needed to have all records of reports of a patient.

In my view these some qualities are very necessary for a caregiver. Beside these he can never give care to a patient.

What advice would you give to a person who is performing this role?

I advise to a caregiver that he should have patience in his responsibility. I advise to a caregiver that he should seek help from doctor, nurses and healthcare professionals for giving care to a sick person. I think if a caregiver has passion than he will do anything. I advise to a caregiver that he should increase hope of a patient.

In addition, we should all act as a caregiver in our family. We should care our parents, our sublings and other memebers of our family. This will be very helpful for us in any emergency situation.
