*Assalam-o-Alaikum friends!*

Welcome to my post. I'm @moazzamushtaq and I hope that you all will be fine and will be enjoying your life by the grace of Almighty Allah. I'm also fine and enjoying my life. Friends, I'm going to participate in the contest organized by @sahmie in Healthy Steam community. The topic is very beautiful which is titled: "Lending Our Helping Hands". *what do you understand by "People living with Disabilities?"*

When I read the word disable, immediately I think about the people who are blind, cripple, injured or other like that. These people are not able to perform their activities due to lack of some organs in their body. We can find these people everywhere in the world. These disable people lack some organs but they have emotions like us. They need our help and we should help them in performing their activities.

Some disable people face people face disability due to accidents and other are disabled from their childhood when they born. Disabled people become stressed when they can't perform their daily activities and feel that why they came in this world? Daily I see many people who are disble and due to their disability they can't perform particular work which was done by their lacking organs.

*How can we make it easier for people with disabilities to access things in our community?*

People with disabilities need our help for living in this world. We should help these kind of people and show empathy on them. As a person in our community who can't see , we should help him to access things. Most important is that we should spend some time with him, as he can't see, by spending time with him we can play a role as his eyes. These kind of people can't see but they feel the beauty of nature.

A person who can't walk, we can help him by fulfilling his daily needs, we can provide him all his necessary things in his home. As I said above the most important thing is that we should spend some time with these kind of people.

*Give ways we can include and give equal opportunities to people with disabilities?*

For disable people access to public places, transportation and buildings is become a challenge. The lack of frindly environments often create obstacles, limiting the mobility and independence of individuals with disabilities. So we should try to give them access to these things. Like if disable person is needed to go anywhere we should help him in accessing the transportation and public places. In a community we can manage an employer which works as caretaker of these disable people. This is how we can give them equal opportunities for spending life happily.

*How can we be supportive friends and allies to people with disabilities and their families?*

There are many ways by which we can be supportive friends and allies to people with disabilities and their families. This a very difficult to taking care of disable people for their families. By our little they get confidence and new hope about the disable person in their homes.

We should treat these persons with kind behavior as we treat anyone other because in this stage they need attention and love. We should include them in social events like gatherings, parties and marriages etc. To their families we should help them financially if they need and doing some work we can play a role of being supportive friends and allies to people with disabilities and their families.
