INTRODUCTION

Our topic for today is about mental health, what do mental health really mean? In a simple terms we can say mental health is our emotional and social well-being that have impact in the way we think, the way we feel and the way we act. Is not just about being free from illness but it's *about feeling well and functioning well in all aspects of life.

Today, we'll discuss about daily habits that enhance mental resilience, how diets influence mental health and lastly, the activities that promote emotional balance. Let's begin with the first subheading:

WHAT DAILY HABITS ENHANCE MENTAL RESILIENCE?

Some of the daily habits that can enhance mental resilience are getting enough sleep, eating a healthy diet, spending time outdoors, practicing mindfulness, and engaging in meaningful relationships. For example, let's talk about few of them like sleep, meaningful relationships and spending time outdoors.

Adequate sleep helps us to concentrate, boost our mood and our energy levels. Are you aware that people who don't get enough sleep are more likely to experience feelings of anxiety and depression? oh yes, as such, if we value our mental health, we have make sleep one of our top priorities.

Meaningful relationships help in reducing stress and it can improve our psychological well-being. Strong relationships can also help us feel more connected to others and give us a sense of purpose and belonging.

Spending time outdoors is also beneficial for mental health especially when it comes to nature because it's decreases the levels of stress and anxiety, and increased feelings of relaxation. So even a short walk outside have a positive impact in our mental health.

HOW DOES DIET INFLUENCE MENTAL HEALTH?

Eating foods with balance diets will give our body the nutrients need to enhance our mental health. for example:

  • Foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains help to improved mental health. so it's necessary to eat leafy green vegetables, nuts, and seeds.

  • Omega-3 fatty acids helps to reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety and we can get this nutrients by eating fatty fish like salmon, tuna, and mackerel.

  • Magnesium helps to improved sleep and decreased feelings of stress, therefore, we should consider foods like leafy greens and legumes.

  • Vitamin D helps in reducing the risk of depression and we gained this nutrients by consuming fatty fish, egg yolks, milk and cereal.

  • Antioxidants help to improved mood and reduced feelings of stress, so taking dark chocolate, and coffee might help.

WHAT ACTIVITIES PROMOTE EMOTIONAL BALANCE?

  • Exercises is one the activities that promote emotional balance because it reduces the symptoms of depression and anxiety, and increase feelings of well-being.

Spending time in nature, socializing with friends, and participating in creative activities can also have positive effects on emotional well-being.

If you ask me for a preferred activities, I will say it's *spending time with friends, why? because having close relationships with friends and family increase feelings of belonging, connection and emotional support which can help to reduce stress, and for me to engage in shared activities with friends, that's increased feelings of happiness and satisfaction in me and also play a better role in my mental health.

CONCLUSION

So my friends, there are different ways our daily habits and activities can impact our mental health like getting enough of the right nutrients, getting regular exercise, and socializing with friends. All this can contribute to improved emotional well-being.
