It's good to see you again in Week 4 of SEC season-16. I'm trying to participate in a contest with the theme of environment and our health. A very interesting topic i think. For that I would like to invite @fantvwiki @meriseptriyanti and @rdp89 to participate.

👩‍⚕️ What do you understand by the Word "Environment"?

Broadly speaking, the environment is where we live. But I think the environment actually includes all natural aspects such as water, soil, air, and even all the activities we do in our daily lives.

The environment also means more than just where we live. Some of the components I previously mentioned have relationships and interactions that occur continuously in an area. Because these relationships affect each other, we can guess what an environment will be like if we do something in it. If we do good things, it will have a good impact. Then the same will apply if we do the opposite. It could be that bad things will happen in our environment.

So in short, the environment is where we live with interactions that have a direct or indirect influence on the environment itself.

👩‍⚕️ How do our surroundings impact our well-being?

I think the environment does affect our level of well-being. Let's say we live in a degraded or polluted environment. Emotionally and psychologically it has an adverse impact that can cause stress, anxiety and also depression.

And just imagine if the environment we live in is a good neighborhood. There is a good chance that our environment can create sustainable jobs, thus improving the well-being of all of us.

👩‍⚕️ What are some ways pollution, like air or water pollution, can affect our health?

Water and air are the main components that living things need for their survival. Without them, it is impossible for us to live until now.

Polluted water is bad for our health. Indigestion is likely to occur. Diseases such as diarrhea can be suffered if we consume polluted water.

Just like water, air is also a major component that we need. Respiratory disorders may occur. Then diseases like tuberculosis and others will be possible if we live in an environment with high air pollution. So I think it would be best to start preserving our environment from now on.

👩‍⚕️ What are some simple actions you take every day to promote environmental health?

There are many things we can do to preserve the environment. We can do it from small things like planting trees and also sorting waste by type. These actions can help to reduce high CO² levels due to air pollution. Although this is just a small action, believe me, it has a good effect on the preservation of our environment. Just imagine if this is done on a massive scale. We will really feel the impact.

👩‍⚕️How can education and awareness play a role in promoting environmental health?

I think education plays a big role in environmental health. Education provides knowledge about problems that occur in the environment such as air pollution and water pollution. It also provides knowledge about environmental conservation practices that can be done such as energy conservation and so on. And I think education can also empower people to take part in environmental decision-making.

There are many other roles that education can play in environmental conservation. The main hope is to provide awareness to the community that the environment is a very important aspect to protect for a better life.
