Not all drinkers are alcoholics. So how to find the difference between an alcoholic and a drinker, one will be an alcoholic if he have at least three activities.

Taking wife's gold jewelry as a mortgage to get money for drinking.

Alcoholics drink for a reason, somehow. If you keep drinking it, it turns into a habit that becomes addicting. Addicts must wait a long time to kick the habit, and by then, a significant portion of their body is unusable. It is therefore accurate to refer to it as a drug given that it leads to addiction.
Can alcoholism be considered a disease? How to control it!
Alcohol addiction is a disease, not a habit that a person can overcome with willpower. For many people, alcohol is a way to relax, have fun, sit with friends and reminisce about old times, deal with stress or just enjoy an occasional drink. When you drink alcohol, you can feel good, relaxed and forget your tension but the consequences of drinking alcohol are many.
Some people can control their drinking very well and know when to stop, but others may find it more difficult to stop themselves and keep their word without having another drink. Drinking too much alcohol and not being able to stop is a real disorder, and as your alcohol intake increases, it causes certain changes in your brain that make it harder to avoid or quit.
Is every drinker considered an alcoholic?
Drinking too much can make you lose your inhibitions and make bad decisions, which might put you in danger or encourage harmful circumstances or behaviours. Once one start drinking there is a chance of him becoming an alcoholic.
A lot of problems start coming to us if we get used to drinking alcohol such as
- Motor vehicle accidents and other accidental injuries.
- Relationship problems.
- Poor performance at work.
- Becoming a victim of a crime.
- Problems related to work or finances.

You have published nice articles about alcoholics. I have heard a lot that selling wife's ornaments for drunkenness and gambling money misbehaves with wife. It is also true that we often read news in newspapers that drunk driving is causing more accidents. Acting like robbing bangles while collecting drug money.

Hi dear Jyoti. You have given a detail explanation on excessive intake of alcohol and alcoholics. I would like to let you know that people get addicted to taking excessive alcohol in many ways. There is always a cause for an action. Death of a loved one, instant breakups, family crisis, can make an individual become addicted to alcohol.

You've written so well on the topic of alcoholism, it is true that some users know their limit while others abuse it. The problem of alcohol always starts when a user can not stop the pleasure of drinking, hence becoming an abuser of the substance.
To this effect, I've come to learn of some of the negative effects of the abuse of alcohol. However, like you've stated, this happens when the users abuse it. Like any other substance when we abuse it we suffer the effects. Even eating too much in a day leads to frequent stooling and constipation, and this doesn't make food a bad thing. Therefore, in my opinion, the users are the problem.

In a setting of friends where you're having a get together alcohol is always used to spice up the discussion and it is always fun. As good as it seems it has its set backs which are detrimental to our health and some even leads to dead.
Hahahaaaah.... Some men can be crazy to this level I know. Some will even steal money from their wife's purse just to go drink. That's sad and we need to do everything to control it's intake.

It may be funny to hear but this is the reality. Many Indian families have been driven to the middle of nowhere by these alcoholics
