good morning again to all my fellow steemians here in Healthy Steem community, I truly believe we all had a good night rest, waking up to work toward accomplishing our different goals and target.

I am happy to be here participating on a contest HS Contest 2 - You and your health organized and published by @hive-168205 the community official account.

Here I am going to give some highlight about obesity, we all wish to live a healthy and better lifestyle, but we have to follow all the health precautions and learn to control ourselves on what we eat in other to achieve this.

I will answer three important question concerning Obesity.

What do you think about Obesity?

Actually Obesity is a medical condition which is characterised by excessive body and fat, which most time have negative effects on an individual health. It is influenced by various factors.

Individual who is victim of obesity is likely expose risk of various health issues, such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer in some situation and mental health problems.
It is a complicated problem that requires a diverse way to approach including health education and physical activity promotion.


Can you tell us 3 things that causes obesity?

Yes, there are many things that contribute to obesity, but here I will give three(3) things that mostly cause obesity.

  • Poor diet: yes poor diet is the number 1 cause for obesity, but most people are ignorance of this. consuming a diet/food that contains high sugar leads to obesity, as well as excessive calorie and overeating.
  • lack of exercise: lack of exercise most time contribute to obesity. This happen when individual dosnt or stop engaging in regular physical excercise in other to burn some calories in his or her body which causes weight gain and fat.
  • Genetics: Some obesity are not because of poor diet of poor health care, individuals may have a genetic propensity to obesity, which makes it very challenging for them to maintain a their weight.

What are the best ways to prevent obesity?

There are many ways to prevent obesity, but let's see three best way to prevent.

  • Regular Physical Activity: Engaging in regular physical activity help to burn calories and fat, which maintains a good and healthy weight.

  • Eat balanced Diet: putting into practice a healthy and balanced diet is most important. When preparing our meal it is important we include varieties of fruit and vegetables, grains, proteins in our meal . It is very very important to limit the sugary drinks consumption and food with high fats.

  • Food portion Control: it is good to be mindful of our food portions and avoid overeating. You can use small plates and bowls to have a specific measurements of food you consume to help prevent overconsumption.
Summary/conclusion

Here we have discussed what obesity it causes which we said that poor diet, lack of exercise and genetics are the three main causes of obesity.
We also talked about how to prevent it with three methods which includes regularly engaging in excercise and avoiding overeating to maintain a healthy weight.

It is very important to follow all the health precautions, though some of individuals who are victim of obesity are not because they don't follow the precautions but genetics sometimes be the reasons.

Now for the question you are asking about "How Does eating balance diet as said in my post prevent obesity". I think that's a very good question.

Yes, making our meal balance, which is containing the six classes of nutrients is very crucial in maintaining a healthy weight. Remember, I said that one of the causes of obesity is poor diet.

The poor diet I referred there was eating too much of carbohydrates/starchy foods, remember any starchy food contains a certain amount of calories which stored as fat in our body.

Meaning that excessive of calories causes obesity, the I said it is advisable to make our food balance with others nutrients which want really calories overwhelm.

But Note that I also said that overeating also contribute in obesity, even when our food is balance it is good to eat with limitations.

You've said well. Obesity thus can be reduced by regular exercise and food portion Control. When I see obessed people, I do think it's just food that adds to their weight. I didn't know it is more than just food. Other factors which arouse from birth can cause obesity too some that can't be controlled. Thanks for throwing more light. I'll love to ask a question. How Does eating balance diet as said in post prevent obesity?

You are saying nothing but the truth, , little things like exercise can save us from obesity but people are too busy to even check themselves and know what exactly is wrong with them.
But this contest is an eye opener towards self-awareness.
