A caregiver is a person that has the passion for taking care of the sick. As a medical practitioner who you are, you have experiences from daily activities at work or the hospital. Also many people including myself have experiences of been a caregiver. Mine was when I had to take care of my grand father and grand mother as well. Well it wasn't an easy job ..... but it became easy and less stressful when I wasn't the only one involved in providing care to them at the respective times. I was supported by my mom as well as other extended relatives. It was a team work....
I also agree with you that team work on the basis of caregiving is based on how the condition is. For example where you said taking care of someone who has cold flu, which will stay less than two weeks does not require them work...
A caregiver must be patient, have tolerance, be humble, have good communication skills, love and many more . Without these qualities, providing care will be of no use because of will yields no result eventually...
