A beautiful morning from my end to you all my friends. I appreciate @khursheedanwar for organizing this contest centred on healthy dieting and i am glad to be a part of it.

WHAT IS DIETING?

This is a way of regulating one's food intake for the purpose of improving one's physical condition especially for weight reduction in the case of obesity or excess body fat. It is used to decrease, maintain or increase body weight or to prevent and treat diseases such as diabetes and obesity.

HEALTHY DIET CHART FOR A NORMAL ADULT

Every adult should be concious of the right meals to take in, mapping out a healthy chart is advisable. Below is a sample of a healthy diet chart for a normal adult.

Carbohydrates - Five to seven servings per day

Vegetables and Fruits - two to three servings

Proteins(meat and alternatives) - two to three servings per day

Milk and alternatives - one to two servings

Fat/oil, salt and sugar - eat it the least

Fluid(water) - six to eight glasses.

IS EATING FRUITS ON A DAILY BASIS ENOUGH?

Relying on fruits for sustenance can lead to various health challenges. A diet of just friuts may deprive you of lack of essential nutrients from other foods such as protein, fat, certain vitamins and minerals, iron, calcium.

Experts recommend that 25% - 30% of your diet should be made up of fruits and the remaining percentage for other foods because the body cannot absorb the nutrients it needs from fruits alone.

FOODS TO BE INCLUDED IN A HEALTHY DIET CHART.

1.Fish:- It is high in healthy omega 3 fatty acids and smaller portions of red meat to reduce your risk of diseases like cancer, stroke and heart disease.

2.Cabbage:- It may protect against cancer

3.Peanut butter:- It has protein, carbohydrate and sugar

4.Legumes (beans)

5.Fruits

6.Cereals (Grain) foods

7.Milk or alternatives like yoghurt.

Half (½ )of a person's plate should consist of fruits and vegetables. The other half (½) should be made up of grains and protein.

CONCLUSION

Neither dieting or exercising alone is enough for optimal health, but when it comes to weight loss, eating a healthy balance diet is more effective than exercise. Nonetheless, exercise should be observed, it is good for the health.
