It's good to know you had a good upbringing when you were young. Your parents do warn to wear shoes when stepping out. This hasn't been the case of those who grow in the village as most of us do walk barefoot especially when going to the stream to fetch water or fire wood. Thos makes us strong and gallant although our feets have become rigid but this can be amended. There's this connection and freeness that comes with walking barefoot but being careful of the type of environment. It's also good to know you don't like walking barefoot when entering the bathroom.
