Wow, I admire you @slon21veka for haven take such a firm decision and seeing it through till date. I like your approach in answering the first question, it differs from others which I have read. I guess it's because you experienced it first hand.
Indeed alcohol is a hard drug used throughout so so many years. It is in fact the most used drug in history. Even amongst minors, alcohol leads the charts for most used drugs.
