We are very much in the throes of mid-winter here! It has been a strange year... in the nearby mountains (at about 900m) they had driving snow for 30 days straight and it amounted to over 600cm! That ended on January 7th... since then, they have not had a single snowflake till earlier today. Go figure! Meanwhile, the US East Coast is getting pummeled... here in the west (at sea level) we're just having a lot of rain.
