Hi great steemians, it's another wonderful week to make wonderful choices.

Of all five items given, I would make just one and what do I choose...... It's so difficult as this week's options looks a bit funny.

Oh!!! and I would love to invite; @bee5, @vudeme123 and @usoro01. Let's see what choices they make.

Alright I choose a wheelbarrow. It's a very weird choice you would say as there is not much to write about it, however it's better than choosing nothing after all.

So where do I start?
Well, a wheel barrow is essentially a basin with wheels. It is used to transport things around from place to place. It's made up of the basin, a huge space where items are put inside, a handle for lifting it and pushing it. It also has a wheel usually one or two which enables it to move.

The wheel barrows are the ancestors of the moving vehicles we have today. It was first made by someone, somewhere in China, so I learnt. It had two handles at the back and one at the front. It was made out of wood and was used to transport goods. With time, it evolved to what it is today.

The wheel barrow is still
Very much in use today in Gardens, homes , construction sites, compost sites, they are almost everywhere and that's because this antique is just too useful.

That's pretty all about it ryt? Well not yet as the pen still bleeds.

The wheelbarrow

That's pretty all I have to say about wheel barrow but thanks to this contest by @patjewell my brain has been lit and like a fuse it goes off......let's take another turn in today's contest. How about I tell a fictional story revolving around a wheelbarrow. Hope that is not too bad.

Let's begin; please be my guest and tell me what you think at the comments section.

Krookooo kooo kooo came the sound of the cock, somewhere in the ancient China village of Beijing signalling the beginning of a new day. Master Yun arose as usual, took his liquor, did a little meditation, and went out to look at his huge garden. A lot of work has to be done he muttered.

Armed with just a crude piece of metal that served as a hoe, he scraped hard at earth of his tea garden, removing all that was not wanted. At some point, he noticed that the leaves of most of the tea in his plantation has wilted. There he noticed that it hasn't rained for the past three days and his only source of income the delicate tea plants needs water in order to see the next days sundown.

He rushed back to his shade took a bucket and rushed to the brook which was about a kilometre away from his garden, he fetched so water and slowly went back to his garden, he did this for a very long while. Then he reasoned if only I could get something to ease my load and make my work faster. With this in mind, the next day he rented a horse in order to water his garden.

While on his way back during the sixth time, the garden was almost fully watered but at this point the horse suddenly fainted and he bemoaned his fate saying, are my tea crops really gonna die?

What to do? what to do?, He thought so hard. He then ran to the village shaman, a wise man who was sought near and far because of his deep insights. He was named Ling Poyun but was popularly known as wise one. Mr Yun greeted the shaman and then proceeded to describe his problem.

The shaman then told him use what you have to get what you want. Why borrow when you can provide a solution to your problem yourself?Have you thought of making a tool that can help you take large amounts of water and even goods to the market without using much effort?

Mr Yun mouth hung agape for a long time before he said, Wise one do you mean like a huge basin, where I can put all my goods. The shaman nodded.

But, Mr Yun said in a soft whisper, I have thought of that and even tried it once, but I almost couldn't feel my head and spine any longer. How about you made something you could pull along with you. The shaman also chimed softly.

Thank you wise one, Mr Yun said, and ran to his garden work house, he took a piece of wood, fashioned it like a basin, he then carved a handle and attached it to the big basin, "so I can pull along", he said.

Like a flash of lightning and inspiration came. He then hurriedly picked a log of wood and cut it, such that it looked like a wheel, he drove an axle towards it and fixed it to the wheelbarrow. Then instead of pulling he decided to push. This way he created a new tool. He was so excited and satisfied he then decided to name it "wheel barrow" which meant a wheeled basin.

The next day at the farm, he took his wheelbarrow, filled it with lots of buckets, and went to the brook. He only needed to do this twice and his entire farm was watered. He then used his wheel barrow to push his basket of teas to the market and even used his wheel barrow to get more woods to prepare another batch of wheel barrows, as people already started making huge demand for it. Even the king of his village was not left out. This way, Mr Yun no longer needed to go to the farm as he was now a wheelbarrow producer.

Conclusion

Whew!!!! I really wrote beyond 500 words... Thanks @patjewell for this contest, my brain sure was put to work 😅.

This is one long piece of creativity behind your choice, the wheelbarrow.

Indeed, the wheelbarrow is very important and beneficial.
It has given Mr Yuna solid source income and occupation at a time... interesting I must say.

Thanks a lot for engaging @usoro01, your comments sure makes my lips curve fully upwards 😊😊

Thank you for entering this week's contest of "Choices."
My grandpa who was a farmer always said that his best investment is his wheelbarrows as they work the hardest. (•ิ‿•ิ)

Good luck with the contest!

You are right; choices are indeed a gift for us. Often we make the wrong choices, but sometimes we also open gifts that we are not too happy about.
In the end, life rests with us, how we accept it and what we make of it.
Good luck with the new contest!

Wheelbarrow has become very important in our daily life work routines especially in the construction work. Moreover it is used to transfer heavy things from one place to another place with ease and comfort.
