Tell your story#6 - My Experience on Exhibition and Carnival
Hello good day, my beloved ladies. When I saw my lovely lady @ruthjoe's Steem for Ladies Community contest, I wanted to share my experience at the X-ban exhibition hosted by my two son's previous school, Bandaranaike College Gampaha. This X-Ban - 2024 Education, Science, Technology, and Trade Exhibition is held every four years and lasts a full week. This time, it began on July 24 under the patronage of President Ranil Wickremesinghe and ended on July 28.
My son and daughter-in-law drove to my daughter's hometown with my husband, I stayed at home with my four-footed furry buddy since I couldn't leave him alone. They intend to come on August 3rd. In the meantime, a neighbor friend invited me to the exhibition and carnival. So, we decided to attend on the final day, Sunday, the 28th. So, after feeding my pet and leaving him inside the house, we both traveled to the exhibition at about 4.00 p.m.
Bathiya and Santhus were the singers for Sri Lanka's well-known NEWs band on that particular day, and the ticket price was Rs. 200 (steem 3.3) for the exhibition and an additional Rs. 500 (steem 8.4) for the carnival and musical show.
The event presented an exciting opportunity for students, job seekers, and knowledge lovers to explore various educational pathways, career opportunities, and entertainment for the general public. Every night, a carnival featuring a massive musical event takes place alongside the exhibition.
Because the carnival begins at about 7.00 p.m. first, we visited the exhibition, which was well organized and showcased the remarkable courage and dedication of students and teachers. As the exhibition area closed at 6.00 p.m. we enjoyed some snacks and a nest café from a stall in the exhibition area. Later, we went to the carnival; first, we reserved seats for the musical show, and then we walked to the carnival section.
The carnival featured a variety of games such as a merry-go-round, Ferris wheel, bogus rides and carts, bumper cars, and children's games. Many vendors were selling delicious native snacks like kottu, hoppers, and sweets. Street vendors frequently offered toys, balloons, and other products, which contributed to the happy atmosphere. We played numerous games and sampled delicious meals and beverages from vendors before taking our seats as the musical entertainment began.
Because it was the final day, a large audience attended to enjoy the festivities, making the carnival a lively and joyful affair. Our talented vocalists Bhatiya and Santhus kept the audience entertained by their fast-paced songs.
Without staying until the end of the function, we returned home at 1 p.m., making the day very profitable and enjoyable. This day allowed me to admire the student’s outstanding abilities, the teachers' and students’ commitment and hard work, as well as the Sri Lankan vibrant culture and community spirit.

Your son and daughter-in-law have gone to stay with their daughter, who is there, and no doubt they intend to be there on the 3rd of August. You were invited by your neighbor and there is no doubt that Sri Lankan bands were there and the team-up had to spend some money for the special tickets here. That everything costs something, it costs something, it's really a wonderful sight that you were seeing and no doubt we all know that man is going through all this in his life. Is
