Hello everyone, good morning to you all. Welcome back to my blog. The kitchen is one of my favorite place in the house because I love cooking. The Kitchen is meant to be kept clean at altime because that is where we cook the food we eat. If we leave our Kitchen untidy then our food can get infested and we would fall sick.

Definition of a Kitchen

This is a room in the house where food are prepared and cooked. It is usually made up of different cooking equipment.

Definition of Kitchen equipment

This refers to those tools in the kitchen that helps in cooking, prepping and storing food.

My kitchen Equipment

I will be showing you guys some of my kitchen Equipment and the beautiful thing about this equipment is that no one is more useful than the other. Each of them has its unique role to play in the Kitchen.

• Pot

There is no kitchen without cooking pot.
It is used for cooking, steaming, boiling, frying and simmering food. Sometimes, I also use it in storing leftover meal.

• Manual blender

This is used for blending stuffs like crayfish, pepper, fresh tomatoes etc especially when there is power outage.

• Plate

It is used in serving meals. I also use it in prepping ingredients when I'm cooking in the kitchen.

• Spoon

It is used for scooping food inside the mouth, it is also used for mixing and measuring some certain ingredients.

• Food flask

It is used for storing food inorder to retain its hot temperature especially when I'm not ready to eat the meal.

• Sieve

I use it to sift dry ingredients such as sugar, flour whenever I'm making snacks. I also use it to drain water from rice, beans, pasta. I use it also to drain oil from my fried meat, fish, plantain and potatoes.

• The bowl

Used in washing dishes, fruits, vegetables, marinating meat, whisking eggs, prepping ingredients e.t.c.

• Gas cooker

Used in cooking, boiling, frying, heating, and simmering food inorder to make it suitable for cooking.

• Knife

Used in chopping vegetables for cooking, cutting meat, peeling fruits like pawpaw, orange, slicing bread e.t.c.

• Refrigerator

Used in storing cooked food, cooked and raw meat, fruits, vegetables and drinks inorder to extend their shelf lives.
