Be prepared for Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 9

Season 9 of the Steemit Engagement Challenge is coming and Steem For Ladies was chosen to be one of the 7 communities that will be hosting challenges in the next couple of weeks.

We are thrilled to the bone with being chosen and we cannot wait to see what our fellow Steemians will be sharing with us.

It is time to shine!

To do this I am going to share ONLY 3 points that can help you to perform better.

Be a storyteller --> Pick the right challenge --> Make it relevant

1. Be a storyteller

So often Steemians feel that they didn’t get the support or the engagement they were looking for after putting a lot of effort into a post.
Most of the time the post is not engaging, exciting, motivating, moving, and more.

I don't know of one child that doesn't like a story! From a young age, we listened to our parents and teacher telling or reading us stories. We all grew up with storytelling. Steemians are no different. They like reading stories. Why do you think ”The Diary Game” is so successful?

This season, engage the readers by being a storyteller with not only your words but also your images. Just remember that the greatest stories are often the simplest of sorties.

• Think about the goal or purpose of your “story”
• Keep it simple and focused
• Choose the correct and eye-catching images
• Make sure your post reads easily, short sentences and paragraphs
• Use markdown styles
• Make your intro short and sweet and be different
• Keep the readers engaged throughout the body of your content by asking questions, adding phrases and quotes, etc.
• End with a FANTASTIC statement

2. Pick the right challenge

Challenges are won by effort therefore you must choose the right one to take on and then put 110% of your effort into it.

There will be 7 challenges or topics to choose from in these engagement challenges each week. You don’t have to put stress on yourself and enter all of them. Some of us can do it and get it right while others cannot.
You have to set goals that are not only reasonable but also achievable to your standards and capabilities.

These challenges are not all created equally. Some of them might feel pretty overwhelming.

Start strong!

This you do by choosing the challenges that you know you are going to excel in. Challenges that are meaningful to you and in the end will leave you fulfilled.
This will also allow you ample time to make sure that you engage with Steemians who are also participating in this specific challenge.

• Choose wisely and plan your week
• Make sure that you can abide by all the rules like sharing on social media platforms or sharing a selfie
• Be different
• Be creative
• Stretch your capabilities and your efforts

3. Make it relevant

It is a fact that most people skim over the words of a post. If your post is not relevant to the topic and eye-catching you are not going to get the engagement that you are looking for.

In other words, get to the point and cut the “I am well and I hope you are well. Thank you for this beautiful challenge. Today I am going to…” This kind of text is not relevant to the topic.

The key to writing a relevant post is research and planning.

A great way to also keep your post relevant is to make it interactive. Steemians like to get involved with a post. Make them laugh, make them shed a tear, or make them feel grateful that they are alive while at the same time, it is relevant to the topic.

• Do your planning and research before you start writing your post
• Get to the point straight away and don’t be boring
• Share personal experiences that relate to the topic
• Involve Steemians by asking questions, sharing quotes, etc. which relate back to the topic
• Put related keywords in bold text
• Diverse your writing style from post to post
• Write from your heart!

If you put these three tips to the test and make them unique to who you are then you are halfway there.

• Make sure you understand what is required from the challenge
• Be creative
• Follow ALL the rules of the challenge
• Make your post 350+ words to show your effort
• Follow any club status, 5050, 75, or 100
• Posts must be #steemexlcusive
• Use the correct #tags
• No plagiarism, no AI-generated content, and no bot usage will be allowed
• Check your post with Grammarly.com (grammar, spelling, etc), Duplicheker (plagiarism), and https://openai-openai-detector.hf.space or other relevant applications before your post
• Only copyright-free images with and correctly sourced or your own
• There will be no requirement or obligation to set a beneficiary
• Be actively involved with your fellow Steemians, 50+ words in comments
