Advertisement can be referred to as the process of creating awareness or creation of awareness about a particular product that is newly produced or has been in existence but is not well known by the people and in the market. When you advertise your product, people become more aware of it and you tend to sell more when you advertise what you have produced or the service you are rendering.

Ideas and event that are about to take place can also be advertised in order to draw the attention of the audience towards the upcoming program, it could be a wedding invitation, church program, birthday party, medical retreat etc.

Advertisement can be done using magazines, news papers, television, radio, billboards, social media etc.
For an advertisement to be effective, it need to very clear, it should have an action to call, there should be a targeted audience, and lastly there should be outstanding results for the advertisement to be tagged effective.

Advertisement has a lot of advantages which includes;

Creation of awareness: when you advertise your product, the public become more aware of the product,and it will enhance better sales and patronage.

Increase in demand: when the advertisement is effective, people will become more aware of either the new or existing product, resulting to raise in demand.

Advantage over competitors advertisement differentiates a company product from its competitors and it set product apart.

Education Advertisement helps in educating the customers and the public about the product, it uses and how to effectively make use of the product as well.

Employment opportunity it creates employment opportunity for those who will be involved in the advertisement process.

Advertisement also has disadvantages which includes;

It require high cost, making it expensive for infant businesses or individuals who singlehandedly do advertisement of their product.

Some advertisement are usually deceptive leading to the breakage of trust for the product by the consumers.

Some people might not actually get to know about the product, as most of the advertisement in this 21st century are been done using technology.

Effective advertisement is really important and vital for every company who wants to make sales and grow fast.

Effective advertisement gives the company a unique market position, it sets your product apart, it educates the public and helps them in terms of making informed decision, promotion of new products becomes more easier and achievable, it makes your product known to a wider audience, and above all, it increases sales and generate more revenue and income to the company which that is the primary goal and objective of every establishment.

Every organization or company needs reputable PR department in order to create good image for the company and to give the company product a good name.
