Si amigo, se remonta a la segunda guerra mundial donde Europa quedó divida entre el bloque Occidental (capitalista) y el bloque Oriental (comunista), el famoso Muro de Berlín. Creo que la expresión "Iron Curtain" se le atribuye a Churchill, primer ministro británico de la época.
