SEC13 WK4: "Shopping Spree!"

Shopping spree! a short period of time that someone buys a lot of things.

We buy and shop almost every week, but a shopping spree comes once in a long time, just like people say, "buying excessively."

In my household, my mom does the shopping, although sometimes my dad would help her out on his way back from work because he travels for work.

My mom enjoys shopping for the house because she believes she's the only one who can get the right items. My dad, on the other hand, does not have all the time, but whenever he returns from work with a lot of items, my mom would want to know the exact amount he spent on those items.

So most times, to avoid issues, my dad prefers my mom do the shopping.

Well, before I tell you where I belong, it would be nice if I explained the two terms...

A shopper is a person who compares prices online and offline and gathers information to make an informed decision about a product or service before buying.

A buyer is a person who does not compare prices online and offline or gather information before buying a product.

With that being said, I would classify myself as a shopper. I love comparing before buying because I feel cheated when I discover that I went buying instead of shopping.

I don't think I have a clear answer to this question because I have seen women who bargain and men who bargain too.

They say women are very good at bargaining; it could be true because I am a very good example of that, and men are not so good at bargaining, but I know some men who bargain more than the women, so I would say that this bargaining thing is a personal thing with a different understanding.

A brand is a symbol, name, design, or reputation that differentiates or distinguishes a product from its rival.

A service is an action performed by an individual or company to meet a customer's needs.

A brand is the way a company presents itself to the public, while a service is about the interaction between the company and its customers, so I prefer a service.

My Reasons

Customization: According to a client's demand, a variety of products can be assembled, and then the customer can make their choice, ask questions, and take a decision. This way, I can retain my customers and even have more.

Unique way of selling: service stands out a company from the competition market. There are various products on the market that compete with each other,but a service provider sets itself apart and develops different strategies to stand out.

My last shopping spree was at an oil mill, a local market in Port Harcourt. I bought some food items because I prefer buying in bulk because they last longer for me.
