I love this topic because I am a girl . Every girl and woman loves discount more than men 😄 That's why I chose to write on the topic " discount "

Let's start...

What is the discount?

When we buy an item, there is a MRP( maximum retail price) on it. We are supposed to pay as upon MRP printed on the packets or the price decided as per government. When we purchace on certain MRP and gets a little of concession either by the shop owner itself or by our own bargaining skills , the amount reduced is called discount i.e. whatever is left after deducting the given price from MRP is the discount .

Who gives discount?

Discount is given by anyone who sells any kind of things, be it a businessman or a bank or the authority or government .... whosoever has the rights can only offer discount. If we are selling anything to anyone be it policy, clothes, grocery or extra, we can give discount on our things as per our wish .

What is the purpose of discount?

First we will understand from the discounter's perspective -

When any person thinks of giving discount, his objective is that he can sell his goods as much as possible, the shop also have a name , people should visit his shop and then become customers of his shop. The sales of the goods sold by him increases and so gains profits 📈.

Now we will understand what is our objective when such shopkeepers offer discount -

Discounts attract girls and women a lot. And we feel that we are getting something cheap, so we like to buy a lot of things at discount. And many

What is the net price of an item?

Every item has an MRP. The real price plus profit is hidden in the MRP which is decided by most of the shopkeepers or is given by the company from above. When we buy a particular item and the payment we make for it is its real price because no shopkeeper incurs loss. He doesn't sell the goods at the same price, he just reduces his profit a little.

How do we take percentage discount on an item?

So here i will explain this through an example:

Item -: shoes
Discount on item -: 20%
Price of item -: 1000INR
Amount discounted -: 200INR ( 1000×20%)
Price to be paid -: 1000-200 = 800INR
This is how one can see the actual calculation.

What is the formula of discount%?

The formula of discount % is expressed in terms of the original price P and final selling price S of the concerned product.
P - P × discount% = S

What are the advantages of discount?

The advantages are one can buy many things in less amount . For those who can't afford certain things at the actual price , can fulfill their demands during discount availability .

What are the disadvantages of discount?

Its very addictive too , one tends to become spendthrift and buys a lot forgetting about his or her home budget . One buys some things that aren't that useful ever or maybe not of any use in the present. Its really attractive .

Conclusion

Discount isn't bad or something to run away off . If one uses it mindfully and use it for their own benefits then its super useful.
