Choices! What will it be? #61

INTRODUCTION

Hello my beautiful ladies. I am @jovita30, I would be participating in this interesting contest by @patjewell.

For the purpose of this contest, I would be going with adventure.
Adventure can be different things to different people. Life cooking, swimming, taking along work, doing new things and meeting new people.

As we grow older time and strength becomes a luxury.
That is why we most enjoy the gift of life and strength.

Adventure can be planned or unplanned. Some adventures came leave you with, a scar, lessons, or pleasure.

Adventure does not necessarily need to be expensive, to me it's doing things you are not use to doing.

Adventure can happen anywhere as long as you enjoyed it at the end, without throwing caution to the wind

I would not call myself an adventurous person, because am more indoor than outdoor.
Regardless, I've had some unplanned adventures and I would be sharing them with you today.

TROUBLE IN THE FOREST

In 2016 when I wrote my secondary school examination.
The school is located in an interior village, at badagery, Lagos state, Nigeria

On the day I was to take an exam on Yoruba language. My then boyfriend offered to take me to a place I don't see on television. For an adventure.

It sounded interesting to me and I decided to forfeit my exams for that adventure.

On the exam day I left the house, everyone thought I was going for my exams.
I got to his bus stop and waited for him to join me.

He took me to am abandoned Forest far away from my exam center but still in badagery.
While we were just working and admiring the uniqueness of the forestation playing and laughing.

Suddenly We began to hear heavy gun shots we quickly hid our self trying to get the direction of the shooters.
As time goes by the shooting was coming from multiple directions. I was so scared. My boyfriend asked me to be calm.

Few minutes later we say heavy military vehicles moving towards our direction from where we were hiding.
They drove pass us without seeing us because we hid behind a big rock.

We were still calm, they headed straight into the forest. And the shooting continued, this time heavier than before. At that point I began to say my last prayers.

I wanted to call my parents but he refused still assuring me that we would be fine

30 minutes we saw them coming back, but this time with so young men whom we perceived are criminals.

They arrested them, some of the sustainable gun injuries and one of them was dead.
The took them away.
We stayed in hiding for another 30 minutes until we where sure no body was coming again.
Then we quickly ran away from the forest and got back to the main road.

Though I was scared by that was quite an experience for me.

• I have never had gun shot from such close rage before.
• My life flashed right before me, and imagined what would have become of my mother if the police saw us.

To me that was the most exciting but terrifying experience of my life and I learnt the following lessons from that terrifying adventure.

• Don't just do things without thinking it through
• No matter the adventure don't throw caution to the wind.
• Don't go anywhere without letting your family know about it.
