Animals are emotional beings and scientifically we are Animals too

Even since I got consciousness as a girl I saw a world around me portraying women as super emotional creatures while men take actions based on logic.

However, we know who are warmongers, we also know who pull fighting men out of an out-of-control crowd just to end the violence.

I live in a country where men are allowed to show only one emotion and that is Anger.

It is another name for men.

They can get angry due to any trigger and mind it, only on the weak creatures or their subordinates.

Like a father getting angry with his children and their mother, but the same man can't be angry with his boss, ironic.

And this collective portrayal of anger emotion is common in the Mob mentality.

This emotion is very intelligent to attack only weaklings of the society like the opposite sex and men of another religion.

This year was very unfortunate for my country. Every month we have seen a new incident where a person was attacked by an angry mob.

The reasons were,

  • inappropriate clothes worn by a woman(according to those emotional men),
  • blasphemy by a man who couldn't be taken to the court for a free and fair trial because he was burnt after being killed by the emotionally charged men.

However, the woman was rescued by a female officer on time, otherwise, they were ready to kill her too.

Still, they dare to say women are dumb.

I once read a post saying:

If there were no men in this world, who would protect women?

And the answer was:

Protect us from whom?

I wonder how they were so ruthless, what kind of upbringing they had, or did they have any?

A person who is encouraged to show every emotion in their family and friend circle is considered a person with a healthy mind.

But the problem lies here:

We say, men are tough, they are money-making machines, men don't cry nor do they show affection and happiness like women. They only have the right to be angry.

And I have seen it in my ancestors, grandfather, uncles, father.

They don't know how to love their children. Deep down they care for them but are always with a straight face towards their sons.

It hurts their male ego to show affection towards their sons.

Daughters are exceptionally loved though.

They are from the generations who vouch for wars, see around yourself, all the world leaders are 60 or 70+, are old school and tough men, they have forgotten to find a way out instead of violence.

Things are changing now and the generation of sons who didn't get their father's love and affection are now more kind and love to express their emotions.

And you know what the irony is?

Society gender shames such men too who cry.

We can't be content with anything, we are always criticizing.

That Crying men are too soft hearted and that is the thing unfit for men:(

Let me tell you a few instances of men crying in my family.

1:
It was the first wedding of our family, my cousin who is the eldest daughter with younger brothers.

It was a mandatory thing to cry while seeing off your daughter after the wedding, now brides prefer not to cry for the sake of their expensive makeup, and the siblings now thank almighty instead of crying.

Anyhow, when she was going with her groom and her brother was walking behind her holding the Quran above her head, he started crying, he was the first one to cry out of the whole crowd, mothers are exceptions.

After watching him cry, we realize it's the time to bring out our crocodile tears too.

But he won that match. We laugh every time when we watch this scene in the movie.

A crying man doesn't do any harm than an angry man.

2:
Another crybaby is my younger brother who is just 21, a university student.

Recently, he moved to a big city for his internship because we live in a small city with minimum to no opportunity to excel in the career.

This was his first time separating from us, he got a little emotional in the room and tried to conceal it from us, poor soul.

I could still see water in his eyes and my mother's too.

I prefer not to cry and make it difficult for him to leave, above all, it was his decision.

I have also seen my Mamu (brother of my mother) crying while hugging his sisters and children before going abroad.

It is one of the most painful things to see a man crying, it tells you that the matter is serious.

It is the sinking economy causing the brain drain of the country as well as an emotional drain in every household.

You must have seen videos of journalists men and women breaking down while reporting genocide in their countries.

Does it break your heart to see a person crying when they have left with no choice but to express their emotions?

If you don't want your sons and daughters to make others cry miserably in society then let them cry in front of you without gender-shaming them.

Let's encourage a healthy expression of emotions in our families.
Let them express their feelings
Let them speak their heart and mind
Let them For God's sake.

I loved your post.
So relatable actually!!!

While reading I was expecting you would mention somewhere...

The scene:
Rukhsati (departure) of bride on her wedding, mother crying, siblings crying, maybe father too... But bride: NOT CRYING.

And someone commenting, right there right then: "what a shameless bride!"

I had heard things like this... So I make sure to cry a little on my big day. Lol. No I was truly emotional.

My father and brothers didn't cry at all. Rather when the dj played: "Baba kee rani hun..." (I am baba's princess) An emotional, tear jerking mandatory song of rukhsati...he had to face the wrath of my dad, who made him shut it down at once. Lol.

"what a shameless bride!"

People say, it's their duty to say such things.

To be honest crying thing was common a decade ago. No one cries now, not a single family member🤣

And that baba ki rani song can make groom cry too, only that song can save a girl from bride shaming, matlab kon ni roye ga usko sunke?

he had to face the wrath of my dad, who made him shut it down at once. Lol.

Cool Dad😎

Thank you idhr Tareef laye app❤

Let's encourage a healthy expression of emotions in our families.

OH YES!!

We have this saying in our family, "Big men cry all the time!"

It is what makes me love them so much.

It is nice seeing you take part again in "Choices."

Best wishes!

PS: It is awesome that the world is changing!

Saludos gracias por compartir tu participación. Las emociones, la ira esta dentro de ella es algo que se da de manera natural, pero que debemos saber manejar la ira y no ser manejados por ella.

Anger It is another name for men

Exactly 💯 true.

We say, men are tough, they are money-making machines, men don't cry

Unfortunately, men involve init, but women emphasis more on this role.

Another crybaby is my younger brother

Bachra bacha .I can relate becoz my younger brother is also a cry baby .

Let them speak their heart and mind

Only if they give a way to their emotions.

And as always you maintain the beauty and fluency in your writing. It is commendable. ❤️🤞
