Attack on STEEM, Tron Vectors, Future of our Projects?
The events over the last couple days have been exciting, confusing, stressful, intense.
What's going on???
Lots of people are asking me. In simple, Justin Sun got the exchanges to power up and vote his 'new' witnesses into power.
I filled with the SEC about Binance, and today I am going to fill against Huobi. Some people are telling me it is stupid to get the government involved. They might be right, but I did it anyway.
I personally believe that this move fits into a much larger geopolitical context, about crypto, about governments and about power. These are very interesting times we live in, and I don't think hiding under a rock is going to make it all come out better.
But, what will happen to STEEM?
Its up in the air, but two chains is a possibility. Currently the PAL community is organizing resistance in their discord
Most people are just scared that it will be them getting screwed in the end.
Now steemit inc people are resigning. I thought @andrarchy had a pretty good head on his shoulders, but this guy only seemed really good at producing code we never agreed with.
So here is the crux of everything, FUND members. Steemit Inc was bad, a communist take over is probably worse, but how do we finish this heading for greener pastures?

The Fund is here to build on blockchain and support builders building on blockchain. There is no outcome of this that will stop us. We can build on two chains, three chains, 10 chains! We are watching, and opining.
Our preferred ending? Take quality content, EIP and Steemit.com over to TRON. Leave us with a fast and free chain to build games and other dapps on. take social media, take blogging, take 'community' and follow the money. Then maybe people will see steem as a blockchain, not a failed social media experiment.

IdkI get people are pissed but this is what's wrong and why crypto is a fail.
We scream to not what government involved, we want to do it our selfs and self governance yet when it goes wrong we cry wolf to the government.
This IMO was a stupid move

Just check your assumptions:
Do you.assume the chinese government is not involved?
Do you think that the US government should be unilaterally restrained, while other governments get involved?
Do you reject my east 2 west narrative? (the geopolitical aspect)
Do you think the US government is waiting for me to ask?
In my opinion, filing was a valid move, as someone who would like to see common sense crypto regulation actually passed in the US. I currently live in a country without crypto.laws, sure I can get away with more...but when china debt enslaves ecuadorians to a hydrodam, who is left to turn to besides the damn Yanquis?
I don't care whole else is involved. You really think the Chinese government cares about steemit?
I don't care how it is looked at I got in to crypto to get away from bull shit regulation and now you have a bunch steemians crying wolf about it and that's going to cause more and more regulations.
I do think they care. In fact they ranked steem very high in their blockchain rankings several years in a row.
I have been thinking about your answer, and it makes sense, for you. You came to escape governments. It was futile, but not unreasonable. But they are here now, and its not my fault.
I have been asking for common sense crypto regulation. This move was coherent for me, I think. I am still tense about it, as I also hate governments in general. But do not voluntarily miss the geopolitical implications here.
