Introduction

As a community, we believe in promoting steemit, recruiting new users and helping them stay active on this platform. We have employed many techniques to do this including Facebook sponsored adds, City Coordinators, referrals, distributing fliers, etc. The growing number of new people we onboard is enough evidence that we are making steady progress. However, we continue to think about other innovative ways to expand our reach. So with regards to recruitment, we are pleased to announce yet another project called SteemAlive Ultimate Greeters (SUG).

Who are SteemAlive Ultimate Greeters (SUG)

We have discovered that many people stumble upon Steemit while surfing the net and they signup. Most of them do not understand how this platform works and they simply get discouraged because of being unable to use Steemit. We found out that some of them subscribe to SteemAlive community - and other communities.

We believe that these users that blindly subscribe to our community - and likely do not understand how to use Steemit - should be offered assistance. They represent a significant number of potential users and investors. For example, on an average, SteemAlive community gets 5 new subscriptions each them. Take a look at the number of subscribers we have now

A good number of these are new accounts with one, or two posts. Some have none. We can reach to these ones and assist them. It is possible to drop a helpful comment on any of their posts and direct them to our community where they will be mentored and have a sense of belonging. @focusnow, the founder of SteemAlive has used this method to get some subscribers that later became active members of SteemAlive. For example, @eberechi10 and @pricelesspresh where gotten through this method.

So we at SteemAlive believes that we can reach out to new subscribers - and old users - to become an active members of our community. We hope to leverage the power of many through this project - SteemAlive Ultimate Greeters.

Who can become a SUG and how will they work?

All active members of SteemAlive are welcome to participate in this program. So everyone in our community are eligible to apply. We hope to make it a weekly project so that it will be manageable. Each Monday, we will make a post and ask interested volunteers to apply to work that week as a SUG. At the end of the week, they will make a post, with screenshots of those that they were able to drop useful comments on their post - especially new accounts. They want to make sure to follow up on the response to such comments and assist the in whatever way is necessary.

How to do the work

Here are suggestions to help SUGs do this work very efficiently.

1. Visit SteemAlive Community.
2. You can see we have 689 Subscribers. Click on it to see them all.

1. Click on anyone's users name to check their page.

1. You can check when they signed up and if they have made a post.
2. For new people that have made at least a post, offer to help them. After reading their latest post, drop a comment. Let them know that they can get mentored and receive support if they join our community on Whatsapp. Give them your Whatsapp contact or discord ID or SteemAlive Whatsapp link - anyone you are comfortable with. From there, the person will be assisted.
3. For old Steemit users who are not yet part of SteemAlive, inform them that they can join STeemAlive and discover new friends and opportunities to support each other.

Sample message for New users who have not made proper introductions

After you have commented on whatever they wrote, you could add these:

• I noticed that you just signed up your account newly. I would love to help you learn how to use this platform and introduce you to our community with more than 120 Members. My name is John. If you would accept to be assisted, here is my Discord ID/Whatsapp number/ Our community chat link on Whatsapp. Thank you

• Hey, my name is Jane. I would love to show you how to make your introduction post properly. I would also show you other things about Steemit. Would you also love to join our community with more than 120 members? Contact me on Discord/Whatsapp/email

• Am happy that just created your Steemit page. Would you like to learn how to setup your page and make your introduction post? I would gladly show you. We also have a nice community of friends that support each other. Joinus and be supported. Here are my contact: Whatsapp number/Discord ID/Email/ SteemAlive Whatsapp liink.

How to Apply as SUG for each week

We will make a post each monday of the week and you are free to apply. Just indicate in the comment section that you are willing to work for that week as SUG.

Conclusion

We hope that this project will help us to reach out to more people that join our community. We also hope that if other communities can adopt similar methods, then we can get in touch with so many new users that just sign up and needed assistance.
