Where ever you live, you are affected by one social ill or the other. Our world is obviously sick with many problems and we are eager to solve them. However, we are most times incapacitated. We either lack the power or the resources to solve social ills in a large-scale. There are social challenges that are unique to people living in specific areas of the world. However, we discovered that the following 10 social ills affect people no matter where you live:
- Poverty
- Corruption
- Unemployment
- Insecurity
- Illiteracy
- Political unrest
- Inequality
- Regional conflict/war
- Climate change
- Food scarcity
In this contest, you are the president of the world. We give you all the powers and resources to solve any problems. Among these problems listed above, which 2 will you tackle first and why?

Most people dont have money to be educated thereby becoming a literate, so how do they achieve this task of been a literate, education is very important but first thing first , some parents prefer sending their male children to serve a rich or business man after which they are been settled according to agreement with the boss, the parents do that to survive through the help of that child after their settlement from service.
Hunger and poverty can result to many things such as illiteracy and many others , so lets set priority

You see: being a literate person is something, but being an educated person is much more than that because being educated is being someone with values. Being brave to protect a son or daughter from harm is of greater value, at least to me. This is a very long topic to discuss and I don't know how you approach parenthood issues in Africa either, so please forgive me in advance for my ignorance of your culture. But just to clarify: in my country Venezuela there are also people who exploit their sons and daughters by sending them to work while they are engaged in other activities, not always productive, and that is really tragic. Yea thats true , i believe parents should take up the responsibility of seeing to their children upkeep including education but here in Nigeria , most less privileged parents cant afford proper feeding due to poor economic management talk

I suggest you think about this, my friend @dlioness: you people In Nigeria surely must have a profound idea about what a tribe is, so I'm convinced that, if new generations know and recognize that the tribe concept is a significant part of your culture, then Ok! You, people, accept it and you people make >strong>evolve that tribe concept! You, the new Nigerians take it to a new level and create something like the Neotribe concept! (Neoubuntu occurs to me right now at 4:00 am 😁) maybe a new form of organizing (relate - connect - support - protect) the people to fight against those elements of poverty with impact on the routinary life while developing new protocols of prosperity like the sustainable energies, new housing building & maintenance systems based on community support, health services based a little bit more on psychography than the economy, a new community security and transportation system (to fight goods shortage and scholar desertion, for example), the crypto-economy and its crossing with the FIAT economy, etc.
This is just an initial exercise of lateral thinking based on your comments, my friend. I have small personal business entrepreneurship here in Venezuela called Marketeam Force which motto is "Dream-Think-Plan-ACT!", I suggest you think about this motto. Greetings from Venezuela. ¡Muchísimas gracias por su comentario @fundacorazon! Sí: fíjese como por ejemplo Venezuela ha sido muestra muy clara de capacitación profesional avanzada y muy poca educación moral. Todos los venezolanos hablamos y llenamos las redes sociales de casos que demuestran nuestra capacidad profesional en muchos campos técnicos y artísticos en lugares donde hemos emigrado y eso es bueno y hasta hermoso, pero en 1998 le dimos en forma legítima la magistratura a alguien quien antes intentó tomarla por asalto, lo que da cuenta evidente de la falla tan profunda en educación cívica, política y ciudadana que siempre tuvimos y que quizás aún tenemos. Por eso pienso que la educación es la verdadera herramienta para la libertad y la prosperidad y estoy más que convencido y siempre sostendré que alguien realmente educado nunca es realmente pobre. I am very happy to join this contest not actually because of the prize but because I will share my opinion on this matter as the new elected president.
Firstly, if I am opportune to become the president of my country nigeria, based on the above topics I will seriously take action on the two issues below:
Food scarcity:
Here In nigeria, it is too obvious that many citizens are suffering from hunger and this is a result of poverty and other things I see as the fact. But of recent I realized that the food that we are talking about is there but because of the rate of corruption that exists in my country. In my area I see how individuals are struggling to eat. Looking at all this things it pains my heart and also I noticed that some may have the money but because of the increase in price they would not be able to buy enough for themselves and this will actually result in what my mum usually call "Let's manage" thereby incurring food scarcity. Imagine when someone is managing food. It is I indeed a great problem that needs to be resolved.
Unemployment:
Today I see many youths roaming around without jobs and this has been an issue. The major thing is that most of this youths are graduate and it pains me the more. Nigeria is a country that before you get employed you will have to at least know one person who maybe is at the top and this is very bad. The rate of unemployment in nigeria has caused so many havoc but the governments are ignorant this. Today they are complaining of high rate of cultism, to me all this is as a result of no job. Thank God they have elected me as their new President and below is the Necessary action that I as the new President will take in other to stop the nonsense!
solution to the above problems:
The both problems that I chooses can be solved if there is much more employed individuals. As the President, I will create as more Jobs opportunities for my citizens. Today I see how business is trying to cover the globe. For the literate I will make sure they work as per their position and for the illiterate they will work also on their position, every one must be treated equally. If there is more employment opportunities on every aspect including production of food I think the sufferings of both scarcity of food and unemployment will reduce. Thanks for reading my opinion.

Quiero comenzar mis líneas, expresando un profundo sentimiento de lo hoy en dia vive mi país venezuela, definitivamente, estamos pasando una etapa de "DEPRESIÓN SOCIAL Y ECONÓMICA" por lo que tomaría en consideración a cambiar y abordar los siguientes temas:
La inestabilidad política: Porque debe de haber un equilibrio en los manejos políticos y económicos de una nación, por ningún motivo puede existir un estado "Centralizado" donde el control lo maneja una cúpula a beneficio de su propio interés, creando un sociedad cada vez más dependiente de un solo poder, dando paso a las manipulaciones no propias de una "Estabilidad Política".
Cuando hay estabilidad política, hay control, pero también autonomía, dando paso al crecimiento de una sociedad avanzada y de progreso y desarrollo económico.
¡Desgraciado el Hombre que destruye su propia patria, y destruye sus propios espacios! - "Pensamiento de Bolívar"
El Analfabetismo: Este es un gran tema a abordar, porque bien dice: "Bertolt Brecht" ¡El peor analfabeto, es el analfabeto político, porque no oye, no habla, no participa de los acontecimientos políticos, no sabe el costo de la vida, se conforma con decir "peor es nada" no sabiendo que de su ignorancia política, nace la prostitución, el menor abandonado y el peor de todos los bandidos que es el político Corrupto!
Por lo que un estado, libre verdaderamente del Analfabetismo social, profesional y político, hace a una sociedad capaz de combatir por sus propios medios y capacidades la corrupción, creando conciencia de trabajo. La inseguridad, porque se invertiría más en ellos, La conciencia y sentido de pertenencia de nuestro ambiente, seguridad económica para combatir las necesidades básicas de cada ser humano por lo que no habría tanta hambre en el mundo, entre otras cosas.

Hola como estas, esta es una gran iniciativa que ustedes presenta y al leer me motivo su concurso.
Quiero comenzar explicando algo en mi país anteriormente no era alto el indice de desnutrición de un tiempo para acá ese indice aumento y por ende los niños ya no tienen la suficiente fuerza para estudiar, anteriormente le daban comida en las escuelas y su vaso de leche, ahora eso cambio y solo le dan arroz y granos todos los días eso no los va a nutrir porque ellos no reciben una alimentación balanceada y también influye el alto costo de los alimentos y la devaluación de la moneda y muchas familias no tiene para comprar los alimentos y solo realizan dos comidas diarias o una sola para que el alimento les alcance.
Mi solución seria crear fuentes de empleos para que todos tenga oportunidad de trabajar, cambiar la monetización del país y dolarizar y restablecer en las escuelas los comedores y que los niños coman balanceado y puedan volver a tomar su vaso de leche, a parte crearía centros donde las familia consigan alimentos mas baratos, si los niños se alimentan bien entonces serian buenos estudiantes, no abandonaran los estudios y tendriamos buenos profesionales en nuestros país.
En nuestro país la inseguridad es fuerte ya que la policía también es parte de eso, que hariamos nosotros cambiar a todo ese personal que esta viciado y ponerlos a trabajar a cumplir rondas de seguridad en todas las zonas mas en las horas nocturnas, deben realizar recorrido nocturno cada dos horas de modo que estén atento ante cualquier situación que se presente de este modo garantizar la tranquilidad y seguridad tanto del usuario como de las comunidades.
Y ante todo esto respetar las leyes y tomar en cuenta los valores y principios ético - legales para la cual estudio que es la de defender al pueblo y velar por su seguridad.

De hecho, creo haber leído algo sobre la pirámide de varios niveles diferentes de necesidades de todo ser humano, donde la máxima implica la de superación y logro de sueños/metas, pero obviamente nadie las puede alcanzar si no está satisfecha la más básica de todas ellas y yo personalmente (y más de uno estaría de acuerdo) no puedo pensar en ningún tipo de crecimiento personal o intelectual teniendo el estómago completamente vacío. Truly speaking, there are a thousand and one problems that mankind in general are facing. However, being the president now I will first of all give attention to 3 major problems that are at the root of human suffering. These 3 are:
Poverty, insecurity and inequality. Below are the reasons why I will first give attention to these problems
Poverty: a lot of people are poor and unable to take care of there basic needs. It is not really that they are lazy or lack the ability to be rich but because they are not well positioned, or rather that they are being denied of their right as citizens. This has to stop forthwith. I am going going to distribute the nation's resources equitably and ensure that all and sundry are well positioned.
Insecurities : majority of mankind live in fear as a result of wicked people. Hence, I will tighten the security of the citizens by providing all that each citizens needs. This is because most wicked persons are poor and do not have enough of what it takes to provide their basic needs. Then some that are unemployed are idle, thereby becoming useless and as a result, resort to terrorism. These things must be addressed as a president that I am.
To help address the problems above, citizens are to be equitably treated. No one is to be neglected. I will treasure my citizens and regularly reassure them both in words and indeed that they are all important.
I strongly believe that with the above mentioned problems and their solutions, my citizens will be cared for and the root cause of their problems, addressed. Thank you

Thats a good remedy, you know? Most of the reason why many nigerians live in fear today is because the government didn't utilize their brain well but thank god you are here to change these facts.
Corruption: As the president of the World, I will set cameras everywhere so that the leaders under me will not steal or divert public fund to their pocket.
Unemployment:To tackle unemployment in the World is very easy,
I will give out 80% of government revenue from tax, oil, solid minerals e.t.c to the populace as to help and strengthen their business every month.
Business rule the World therefore, everybody in my World would become a business owner be it graduate or undergraduate, able and disable.

@chinonso1, nice topic. But in today's world, corruption also take place even with the presence of cameras. That is why you will here that a whole office building was burnt, because something's have gone wrong in that location, so that there would not be traces of them.

As a president of the world I'll tackle the following two first:
The education system is being threatened daily with the rise in unending strikes and what nots.
I'll make sure that the citizens are well educated from the grassroot level that is the primary level up to the tertiary level so that when they are disbursed into the labor market they will be employed and apply the knowledge learnt so far to better the country.
I'll employ more deserving graduates in the country so that they can apply their knowledge in the betterment of any aspect of the economy.

@beckie, your selection of problem to tackle is nice. But I think it's not everyone that went to school is employable.
School is just to enlighten the person and keep him relevant. But it will be nice, if you will also provide skill acquisition scheme, so that those not employed, can be able to have something else doing and as well be independent financially.

Corruption: Corruption always try to hinder the development of a country.No country can prosper because of corruption.Corruption in the middle income countries is a great concern.Government is spending a lot but all are going im vein only for some corrupt people. If I become president, I would build a special branch to catch the corrupted staff.They should be caught snd bring to justice.The law for the corupt people should be strict.The laws should be obeyed properly. I will try to impose all laws.
Poverty: It can be seen from many reports that A citizen of Bangladesh earn around $2000 per year.But in reality, around 20-30 percentage of people are living below poverty line.That means that the poor people are earning rearly and riches income is increasing. If I become president , I would try to bring balance between the poor and riches. I would try to provide the poor with proper facilities.
