Introduction

We are delighted to announce that starting from next week Monday, we will launch a contest series for teams in our community. As a full-time promotion community, we are really eager to reward teams that are really outstanding and encouraging others to increase their productivity. That is the idea behind the Team Contest Series. Before we talk more about this contest, here is why we found the idea of teams really interesting

The importance of teams in the community

We are seeing teams as a fundamental way to grow the community. That is why we have encouraged the formation of teams in various parts of the city and states. Teams will help us expand our promotional efforts as they take their campaigns to various parts of the country.

We encourage team coordinators to work hard and make their teams active and functional. We have recommeded that teams can have names in order to help brand and identify them. We are happy that 3 teams already have come up with their names and they are doing other things to make their team outstanding. We have the following team names:

• Goal-Getters Team, Uyo (Coordinator @ijelady)
• Elite Team, Uyo (Coordinator @eliany)
• Eagles Team, Lagos (Coordinator @essygold)

We are hopeful that other teams are actively planning on their team identity and activities. As those information become available to us, we will update this post.

About Team Contest Series

Team Contest series will be a way to stimulate productivity in our community. When we reward people for their efforts, they tend to do more. So we hope to encourage teams to work hard and bring more results to the community. Like we said earlier, this contests series will kick off next week. We are still at the planning stage. But here are some of the likely features of the contest:

• Recruitment and mentorship: The contest will reward teams that are actively recruiting more people and helping them learn about Steemit. Mentorship efforts will be considered such as teams that hold regular weekly meetups in person or virtual.

• Newbie Activity: The contest will like to reward teams whose recruits are reallymaking progress. For example, newbies that completed achievements 1 - 4, newbies that have joined the clubs, newbies that are really active by making posts regularly, and newbies that are actively engaging with posts in the community such as by joining SEL.

• Creative Promotional Efforts: The contest will also reward teams that creative in their promotional activity. This will include teams that participate in community- organized promotions like the Road show. It will also look at teams that are inventing ingenious methods for promotion. Creativity will also include branding. Tshirts, Face caps and other branded materials done by various teams for promotional activity.

The above are some of the things we will like include in the contests as a way to encourage consistent activity in the areas identified.

Conclusion

We thank the newly appointed Team coordinators for the efforts they have started making to build formidable teams. We assure them of our support as they work hard for the community in promotion, mentorship and other areas. We are really eager to see more productivity from the various teams. This contest is one way to reward outstanding teams. We will still think of other ways to match every activity with rewards. If we have many activie and productive teams, we will have a community that we all can really be proud of. Expect the kick-off of this contest by Monday 15/11/2021.
