My Town in Ten Pictures: I Will Show You Tall buildings in my City, Owerri, Imo State.

I am glad participating in this contest - showing Tall Buildings in my City. One thing with this community is that it always keep us busy with intelligent activities and contests and here we are again. So, let me take you round my City of Owerri to see the tall buildings we have. Let's go!

TALL BUILDING ONE

This is one of the tall buildings in my city but not yet occupied. It is strange that this building is still empty because since I came to this town, this building has been standing. I guess it's for hotel purpose. It is recently painted and work is ongoing there. It has an electronic lift; it's a six storey building apart from the ground floor. I believe it will soon be in use. You can see this building along Okigwe road, very close to Government Secondary School by Executive Garden bus stop.

TALL BUILDING TWO

This is Rockview Hotel in Owerri, Imo State. A very large hotel with many rooms and suites. I haven't lodge there before but have attended seminars and workshop there. It's a private owned hotel with different departments...even a night club, about 3-4 halls and conference rooms, 24/7 power supply. One beautiful thing about this hotel is that the security is at its top notch...built just two minutes to I'm State government House, close to the state CID, so you see what I mean? The room I guess must be very expensive. You get to see the hotel even at the Government House round about... channel to different location in the City; wetheral, Douglas, Okigwe road, control.it is a seven storey building.

TALL BUILDING THREE

This building has been like this since I came to know it. I came to this town in2014 and up until now, this building has not received another change apart from the zinc gate. I don't who owns it but I believe it was meant to be a five star hotel...(Owerri city is good at it). You will see this building at the beginning of Douglas Road Owerri, close to Imo State High court and Owerri Municipal Area Council. It's a six storey building with no occupants. That's all I can say about it.

TALL BUILDING FOUR

You are now seeing the Orental Plaza; also known as The Glass House. You see it very close to East Gate Hotel, and Ama Wire, opposite Uddy Kings Petrol station,Orji, Owerri. It is owned by the popular politician Mr. Iwuanyanwu, a PDP chieftain. Some people also call it Iwuanyanwu building. It's a six storey house occupied by few business people but normal used for Majority of PDP activities.

TALL BUILDING FIVE

This building is still under construction. It's not long they started building this house o and it's almost in the finishing stage. You can see it opposite Owerri Prison, Okigwe road, close to Government House round about, before Mbari street. I'm sure it's for hotel purposes and it's a six storey building.

TALL BUILDING SIX

This one is government property. I was very careful taking this shot because ' I can't deal...' The building is still under construction but it was started by Imo State former governor, Rochas Okorocha. It's part of the car park he was constructing to reduce the Douglas Road congestion but you know how it is with Nigeria politicians...no continuity, it has been abandoned. The building is a four storey house, opposite Imo State high court close to NIPOST and Ama JK.

TALL BUILDING SEVEN

This is another tell building situated in Orji. It's privately owned and occupied.
3rd floor is occupied by Salvation Ministries.
2nd floor is occupied by Kingdom Overcomers' Assembly...
1st floor has been occupied by Noble Computer Institute. It is located along Okigwe road, adjacent to Access bank, besides Ibe street, all in Orji. It's actually an old three storey building.

TALL BUILDING EIGHT

Whats3word location

This is Church building. You needed to come here mostly on Sundays...
4th floor is empty; no one is there at the time of this post.
3rd floor is occupied by Realm of Glory International Church.
2nd floor is occupied by Truelight Glory House.
1st floor is occupied by Superlife Christian Center.
Ground floor is occupied by West Africa Publishing company. It's a busy four storey building situated along Okigwe road.

TALL BUILDING NINE

This is a residential home. Well and fully occupied by different families. The ground floor has a shop that sells men's items; wears, shoes, face caps, etc. Besides it is a generator repairer. It's just along Okigwe road, Orji.

TO TALL BUILDING TEN

You are seeing a hostel; Houston Hostel was built just two years ago. Owned by an American based female doctor but managed by her brother here in Orji,Owerri, Imo State. As you can see, It's a three storey building and it is opposite my resident house in G. Azuma close off Nwafor street Orji. This hostel has more than 30 self contained rooms occupied by students. Light and water always available.

CONCLUSION:

These are some of the tall buildings I could show you not that there are no more but for the sake of the rule, we will stop here. I know I have taken you round my City because the buildings are taken from different locations of the city of Owerri. Thank you for staying with me till now.
