Music is an organized sound that is pleasing to the ear, it is a form of acceptable noise that lightens our mood, calms our nerves, keeps us relaxed, refined and educates. Music portrays a culture and tradition, it teaches moral lessons and emphasizes the happenings in our society

Music is very popular here in Nigeria. Almost all occasions are graced with music that fits the mood like funeral, wedding, naming ceremony, parties etc. Music could be heard from all nooks and crannies and it's actually funny that even toddlers do mimick the lyrics so they won't miss out.
Music are of different categories like;

• The blues
• Hip hop
• Highlife ( traditional music)
• Reggae
• Westlife

Some music artists in my country and some of their songs

There are thousands of music artists in my country but the ones I'm well conversant with are;

1. Chike; chike is a Nigerian music artist and some of his songs are running to you, roju, faithful etc

2. Simi; Simi is a female Nigerian music artist with a melodious voice. Some of her songs are smile for me, duduke, hallelujah etc

3. Rema; he's a 19 year old singer currently in higher institution. Some of his music are calm down, bounce, among others

4. Davido; he's a dark skinned music raper with dimples. He has children out of wedlock and some of his music are assurance, Ada, Fia and the list goes on

5. Johnny drill; is an American singer that sings just so perfectly. Some of his songs you'll love are forever, wait for me among others

6. Sir wilker; sir wilker is a traditional singer who sings in our native language, his songs are mostly loved by old people. Some of his music are ima fiob, isang Uma, sin nyaka etc.

Some other musicians are Flavor, Wizkid, burna boy, tiwa savage, Ruger, fireboy, six-nine etc

Music I enjoy most

I enjoy Westlife/blues the most because it not only soothes my tone but shows me the need to maintain a positive view in life. Western music covers all spheres of life, adds meaning and creates impact. The lyrics are clear and well founded and has deep meaning attached to it. Blues are meant for relaxation and meditation also takes place in a calm, serene environment with a rhymic background.
I love music from Justin Bieber, Johnny drill and chike most especially.

My favourite artist and song

I must say my favorite artist is Simi Adekunle gold who is married to Adekunle gold, a Nigerian musician as well. Apart from her melodious voice, she conducts herself properly as a married woman. I've never seen her dressed half naked nor lead a wayward life as regards to her music life. That's why she's always featured br other musicians in their songs.

One of her music I like is duduke which she sang while expecting her baby. The music portrayed the joy that comes with being a mother

Another one is smile for me which explains that despite our trials, we should never allow it overwhelm us not tear us down, better days ahead.

Music is life in it's own way, the ability to listen to music and discern its meaning is a rare gift by our creator of which we should be thankful of. One man's food is another man's poison, hence we should always respect others choice of entertainment in terms of music.
