ABA ROAD SHOW DAY 20: SIGNED UP MY BOSS P. A AT THE OFFICE DESPITE ABIA STATE POLYTECHNIC STUDENTS PROTEST THAT AFFECTED OUR ROADSHOW. TUESDAY ROADSHOW REPORT BY OVERTAKERS TEAM COORDINATOR ~~10% PAY OUT TO @STEEMALIVE~~ #CLUB5050. 23/11/2021.

INTRODUCTION

Good day to all amazing steemians out there, my name remains @peterabagi, the overtakers team COORDINATOR this week is blessed though it was not looking so as yesterday road was hot at Abia state Polytechnic.

I left for road around 9am and I was hoping to meet with my team members at Abia state Polytechnic but when I got there I could not find them easily. However I met two leaders who where reading for their exams and other students.

Note that Abia state Polytechnic semester examination was slated to start on the 23rd of November 2021. So indeed everywhere was calm as some students were already in the hall writing the exams.

THE PROTEST

Some of the students where already 43 minutes into their exams when a group of students stormed one of the examination halls and started to drive the students from the exam hall. Suddenly from where I was standing I started hearing the students in the hall screaming and crying.

Some students where jumping down from the windows which made some injure.

I remember when I was able to enter the gate I saw alot of police well armed and just standing by the entrance of the university. This police who at the inception knew something like this will take place Started moving towards the direction of the noise, at the sight of this I decided to excuse the environment immediately where this situation was taking place.

I want say I ran out but I just excuse my self from the school and I stood across the road to really hear what was happening and then I started hearing some people say the reason for the situation was due to *the none accreditation of the department of engineering, that graduates in that department are the ones doing this because they have not been able to go for service NYSC.

THE WORST PART

The situation became heated up as I stood a distance from the school gate, the security personal started shooting into the air, am sure u will b surprise when you see how the people where running, he shot the gun about 4times.

Remember the popularly saying

bullet is the fastest lover that meets you and never leaves you

Because of this people had to run for their lives and stay safe, for my team and I we decided to run the roadshow via another means whichever possible despite the situation on ground.

RETURNING BACK TO MY OFFICE

I decided to return to my office to run the road show and get people signed up. This was when I went to my boss personal Assistant Desk who acts as the receptionist of innovation growth hub aba and I explained STEEMIT to her.

Immediately she opted in and I signed her up after which I spoke some else and also signed her up. I also signed up someone online. I promise myself That I will sign up more leaders on STEEMIT before the end of the month and year.

CONCLUSION

Steemit is a value adding social media platform that adds value to the life of people and should be promoted. This is why I am interested in STEEMIT promotional activities.

Am sure by the time other steemians come on board they will also promote steem in which ever environment they find themselves.
