Introduction
Hello ladies and gentelmen. I know we are busy writing and reading some article as our community is very hot with contest here and there, let me take your mind to Art, its origin and how it has been useful to us.
What Do you know about Art?
Art can be viwed as an inner mind expression through, drawing, dancing, singing, photography . it can aslo be seen as the study of lines and colour to beautify our environment.
The origin of Art
Art can be traced back to the early days where people then use animal blood, and earth colours to draw on rocks. Art drawing was there even before civilization. Then, it was used as a means of communication.
Uses of Art
- Remeberance - Arts are seen on stones or books for remembrance such as. The art work of the woman breaking the soldier gun during Aba women riot. This could be in form of using imagries to portray an event for future remembrance or putting it down in a piece of work for generations to read and remember the occurrence of such event in the nearest future. It is one of the best ways of keeping history.
- It serve as a communication channel. it communicates reality to the mind. This may include the art of beauty, photography, signpost which gives direction etc. Most times, things are not merily explained but portrayed in an artwork which then passes effective communication to the mind and to the users.
- It adds more beauty to our environment: Art, has been a powerful tool in making our environment beautiful. This could be seen through the creation of artistic works, creation of imageries for beautification, drawings etc. This portrays beauty at sight and create a sense of beauty to the mind. Artistic works are always a beautiful work to behold. People love taking vacation to some centres in order to have a sight to beautiful artistic works. This creates sense of fulfillment.
Art classification
- Performing Art- This aspect of art involves entertainment through music or acting. The artists uses this medium to send information of past and present events to the people.
- Visual Art: This is the use of colours to bring out ideas that people will understand.
In nigeria today we have different types of Arts depending on the ethnic group. For example, The Hausa's- this set of people make use of animal skin to make bags, mats, shoes, hand fans even whips is made of animal skin.
The Yoruba's uses Brass, bronze to make calabash.
The Igbos uses clay to make pots, wood to cave images, and beds.

I like reading you post because it is always decent and of top quality.You have done a proper review of Arts as well as its origin.Both the visual arts and performing arts all serve as a means of passing information, although I had preference for performing arts.
