Hello everyone. I welcome you all to my post. This is the second week of the season 2 of the Steemit Engagement Challenge. The past weeks were awesome.
In this post, I'm going to be talking on " The Worst day and the best day of your life - A true life story!", which is the contest topic given by steemalive community.
It's pertinent to know that this is a true life story of mine. I'm going to be talking on one of the worst days of my life and one of the best days of my life. I hope you will find it interesting.
The Worst day and the best day of your life - A true life story!
In life, we will have time of challenges and time of happiness. Life is never a one way, it's two ways. A time of sorrow will come and time of joy will also come. Our reaction or response in time of challenges determines how mature we are.
So, let me share with you a time of challenge I experienced and how I was able to overcome and the lessons I learned there in. Follow me closely.
The Worst day of my life
It was on the evening of a day when my brother and I had finished house cores. We quickly prepared what we needed to do and we were set to leave home for church.
I was still a child during the time I'm talking about. My brother and I loved , still love, to go to church, including the mid week and meeting programs.
So, on that faithful day, we set out and left the house. We were going as usual. We were used to trekking, we knew how to trek the compound so as to get to where we were going quickly.
Then, we have already passed about four compounds and we needed to cross one of the main roads in our town. The road is one of the busiest roads in our towns. We had always crossed the roads without any kind of problem.
So, as we get to the road. Normally, if you want to cross one lane road, you will need to look to the left and right before you cross. In fact, in Nigeria if you still need to cross a two lanes road, you will need to be careful because you may not know, driver .at be reckless and follow a wrong lane.
That day, as I wanted to cross the road, I only looked at a side and forgot to look at the other side. As I was crossing the road, a motor cycle just hit me very hard to the extent that it was dragging me on the road. You can imagine a motorcycle hitting a child.
I was quickly rushed to a hospital very close to the place. The accident was much. I was treated. But for months I was in pain. I could not go out, nor play with the other children in our environment.
Lesson Learned from this experience
One of the lessons I first learned with this experience is to always be careful. I must be very careful when crossing the road, you can't look at a side without looking at the other side and you think you will be safe.
I have learned from that experience to pay attention to details. If I pay attention to a side, the other side may cause me trouble. And that's what life can teach us. It's important to pay attention to everything we are doing in life.
Don't say, since I have done this, it will take care of the rest. Make sure it takes care of the rest before you proceed to avoid misfortune.
I also learned not to go by assumption. I said I forgot to look at the other side. Could it be I assumed that nothing was coming at the other side. It could be why I forgot. When you based life on assumption, you will forget important things in life
The best day of my life.
There's always a moment of joy, moment when we feel we are on top of the world, when we are grateful and happy for the happenings of life, when we don't but shout the shout of joy.
One of the best day of my life was the day I wrote my last paper in the university. I attended Ladoke Akintola University of Technology and studied Agricultural Engineering.
We all know how stressful school life can be. The course I studied is a five year course at this university. I went through hurdles in the university. Attending 7am classes and staying late in school to make sure everything is put in place, especially during the time I was doing my undergrad thesis.
It calls for endurance, you know. But at the end of everything, the day when I wrote my final year was a day of joy.
We have all been anticipating that day, a day when we would write the last paper in the university. And it came. After writing the last paper, I felt very happy.
Lesson Learned from this experience
I learned many lessons from this experience. I have come to realize that everything in life has a time bound. No matter the challenge you are facing, it's for a while. It will surely come to an end.
After writing my last paper, I looked back and saw how it all started, the pain I went through, the stress and all the challenges. It now came to an end in a day and joy flooded my heart
I learned not to give up. If we don't give up, we will achieve that which our hearts desires. That's why the scriptures say, "weeping may tarry for a night, but joy comes in the morning". So, joy can come in a day and the moments of sorrow for many days will disappear.
Conclusion
In this post, I have been able to talk about one of the worst days of my life and best days of my life. I have also shared the lessons I have learned through those experiences. I hope you found one or two lessons in the post. Thank you for reading through it.

Is also a lesson to me too. We should check front and back, think twice before conclusion. Sorry about the incident, am happy that you are still alive today to share your stories with us.
Everything in life has an expiration date. No matter challenges, Victor must prevail.
I always thank God who saved my life from that accident.
Honestly you are right. It's "the victor", those who have developed the habit not to give up that eventually win. Thank you for visiting my post and leaving a nice comment.

You are rightly right. In life you will face challenges, but we can overcome them if we react to them positively. We don't need to be afraid when we face one because it's part of life. We can learn from the challenges of life.

I have never experienced car or motor accident but I have seen such incidents and it’s horrible. I can imagine the pains you went through and I hope it did not affect your brain.
School life especially in Africa is a hard nut to crack. There are instances that only God served us from the hands of wicked lecturers.
The truth is at the end, we smile 😀 😀
Thanks be to God... The wounds healed perfectly and didn't affect me.
