DAY 17 | FRIDAY 12-11-2021 | ROADSHOW REPORT AT ABIA STATE POLYTECHNIC | BY @KINGREECHY | 10% REWARDS TO @STEEMALIVE
INTRODUCTION
Goodday my dear steemians, I hope you all are doing great today, My name remains @kingreechy and it is with great pleasure and excitement I bring to you this report about our steem promotion activities which took place on Friday being the 12th of November in the city of Aba, Abia state Nigeria.
Steem promotion has been of great advantage in helping the communities in Steemit to grow and has added value to us in addition to the value it adds to people by giving them a space to learn, express themselves and earn while doing so.

In order to give an effective report, I will like to in details give a list of the headlines that I will be discussing in my report below.

MEETING UP FOR THE ROADSHOW
Following the instructions of the ABIA STATE STEEMALIVE REPRESENTATIVE (ASSR) @samuel20 all promoters were expected to converge at the steemit office (which is located at number 208 Azikiwe Road Aba) by 9:00am prompt, few of us was able to meet up at the office. We made arrangements on location and took the pictures shown below; We boarded a tricycle and we choosed BATA Junction for our road show.
LOCATION OF ROADSHOW
Our initial choice of location was at BATA JUNCTION so we went there and as usual started the looking around of vibrant young people to talk to but unfortunately we could not find any and coupled with the heat of the sun people didn't want to stand as they were in a hurry. After several trials without any progress we had to come together to decide on the next move to make. What3words
After the discussion, we came to a conclusion on advancing down to ABIA STATE POLYTECHNIC as it is always populated with the young and vibrant people we needed to talk to.What3words
On arriving Abia State Polytechnic bimmediately we had in mind to go in disguise of our main aim so when we were around the student environment we started recruitment. There are always a better chance of recruitment with students involved and it was so.

The Promotional team was able to sign up 11 recruits in total and I personally signed up 2 of the 11 and below are their names.

The girl and the boy below below was signed up by me and both did their introduction post. The rest was by the other members of the team and few also did their introduction post.
MENTORSHIP AND GUIDANCE FOR NEWBIE
We made sure that the above mentioned recruits whatapp contact were gotten and they have all been added up to the whatapp steemit recruit group. In this group they have been taught how to make a good post on steemit yesterday by the Steemalive Abia State Representative.
PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED
The major problem we experienced was that some of the students we tried to signup up was unable to receive the confirmation codes on their phone hence we couldn’t sign up those set of students. Also some recruit wanted us to help the make their introduction post, which means writing for them. This act was discouraged and rather encouraged them to do it themselves. We also had some few network and data challenges as students most times don't have internet or data in their phones which means we always had to hotspot them to make sure they are registered.
REFRESHMENT
As always after the work of the roadshow we to Chicken republic where we relaxed our heads before going to place orders for food. We all had the same kind of food which consisted of chicken, fried rice, moi moi and coke.

NEXT STEP
The next road show have been scheduled to hold on the 16th of November, 2021. It is going to be explosive as plans are going on on how to make it bigger and better.
CONCLUSION
Promotional has brought about a lot of potentials into the Steemit platform and we don’t plan on slacking about it. Promoting steem has become our culture as a community and we are expecting more team members who will join us to promote steem. We are working tirelessly to recruit more people daily in order to mentor and guide them to be become active members of steemalive community and Steemit at large.
