Introduction

This is the 4th week of Season 2, of the Steemit Engagement challenge and I will say that I have enjoyed reading so many post, I was also encouraged from some content I read during this challenge.

This week contest is quite interesting but it took me back to a memory that I don't like looking back to.

The worst day of my life

Honestly I don't think that there will be a worst day than the day I lost my parents to the enemy known as death, It was sooo disastrous and not too easy to forget.

How it happened

We have ever loved our parents because they dearly cared for us, and we were still looking at our future as a brighter future with our parents by our side but unfortunately the opposite happened.

On one faithful morning my father became so sick and my uncle's rushed him to the hospital and he was diagnosed with cancer of the lungs, I was just 20 then and I didn't understand how bad the situation was until I was told that my father is no more, and my only hope which was my mother within the same time lost her life .

She wasn't sick but the shock news got her sick and took her life as a result of cardiac arrest and we were left as orphans .

Life changed immediately, we dropped out from school, my younger ones started searching for how to cope and the older ones got married without anyone's consent and the boys joined bad gang and drift away.

I always look at life to see if I can bring back those days, when unity, love, joy and happiness flow in our family.
This happened to be the worst day of my life.

In all there must be a day of joy in my life, let's take a look at the best day of my life.

The best day of my life

After so many years of suffering, a day of joy came to my life.

The best day of my life is the day I found my husband, that is why I call him my best.

Situation left me with no other choice than to be an early hustler, and I always dreamed of a man that will help me complete my education if possible even train me in the University and make me a graduate which was my late parents plan.

On that faithful day, I left home to my place of work where I work as a sales girl, despite my circumstance I was always respectful and mild, so on the mid hour of that day a man packed along the road and called for a bottle of water, I quickly took the water to him, he paid me and left, after an hour he drove back again and asked for another bottle of water which I took to him

It was 6:30pm and he asked me if I haven't closed for the day I told him my boss said I should work extra hours for that day but I have closed at 6:pm and I was about leaving for home before he horned for a bottle of water.

He begged to give me a ride which I didn't object because I needed to save some money so I joined him in his car, he engaged me in conversation about my life and I told him how life has dealt with me, he told me he has similar experience and he has been struggling with his life, I felt for him, he dropped me off and left

That was how our friendship started, we became husband and wife and today I am a graduate, so meeting him was the best thing that ever happened to me.

Lessons learned on my worse day
  • Never place your trust on a living soul, my mother loved my dad so much that she thinks her life is useless without him and it affected we the children.
  • Do not think money is the answer to everything, we had money but death overtook our money and killed our dad.
Lessons learned on my best
  • Never transfer aggressions because had it been I transferred my working aggression to my best he couldn't have seen opportunity to approach me
  • Always practice mildness.
  • Be patience because change is constant, I never knew my life will change for good, sometimes change might take sometime but surely it will happen.
  • Never stick to one direction for blessing, God can choose to bless you from any unknown corner.

Money, love, trust, agression, respect, mildness

I saw all this qualities in your post and i believe respect paved a way for you.

It's very painful losing both parents within a short period of time which automatically makes you an orphan.. oooh what a world. I can imagine the pains you went through after losing your father as he died due to cancer of the lungs at thesame time, losing your mom as a result of cardiac arrest. This is really painful. I am extremely very sorry for this your Great lost my dear, may their souls continue resting in peace

It is never to lose parents. Sorry about your loss.

The story about how you met your husband is lovely.

For some reasons I won’t comment on your worst day. It can happen to anyone and I will choose not to remind you of that.

I hope you are coping now.

Now to the best part☺️

Marriage they say is a blessing and God sent you the blessing when you needed it the most. You earned it for being patient after everything happened to you.

Your husband was really determined oo😂. Buying bottled water up and down just to get his strategies right .😂.

Even though I don’t know him , from your story I like him and I hope he treats you well till eternity ☺️
