"Fruits of the Season". Review the fruits available this rainy Season. Contest Prize: 30 Steem by @jovita30

Hello everyone am @jovita30 and I would be reviewing some seasonal fruit.
Here is another time to teach and be thought. Thank you @steemalive for this wonderful platform and also a big thank you to @focusnow, @samuel20 and @ninapanda for your great effort.

what is a fruit

A fruit is a seed of a tree or plan that is sweet and fleshy, it can be eaten as food. Most of this fruits can also be converted to drinks(fruit drinks).

rainy season

This is a season when the region experience frequent rain fall, this season is also called wet season. This season last for about four month or more from june to september.
Rainfall is one of the characteristics of the season, and visible cloudy weather.

This season also ushers in some wonderful friuts.
For the purpose if this article I would be looking at some fruits during this seasons.

  • Watermelon
  • Pineapple
  • Pawpaw
  • Avocado pear

Watermelon

This fruit is sweet and contain a lot of water about 90%, no wonder it's called watermelon.
This is a member of the cucurbitaceae family.
With this fruit you can deal with hydration and fight free radicals or reactive species with the present of antioxidants.

This free radicals if not removed from the body, they can cause some health issues like Asthma, blood pressure, cancer, brain and nervous system.
Though the body get rid of this free radicals natural but some fruits with antioxidants makes the work faster.

Watermelon contains fiber which helps with bowel mivement and digestion regularity.

Watermelon contains vitaminC and vitamin C helps to produce collagen which is enssential for fast healing wounds.

Pinenapple

This fruit belongs to the Bromeliaceae and also an indigenous fruit in south Africa, they have cultivated it for centuries. This is also one of the most important fruit in the world during the 20th century.

Pineapples grows and matures within a year, it grows in a shrub and the fruit is seen ontop.

In some countries pineapple is a symbol of Hospitality despit it's rough look.

This friut is laoded with hight minerals and vitamins. E.g vitamin c, riboflavin, thiamin, folate, magnesium, copper, iron and vitaminB6.

Pineappls are good for digestion, with the help of bromelain.

how to store pineapple

You can keep a whole pineapple that is ripe for 2 to 3 days without refridgerator but once it is cut you can store in the fridge for about 5 to 7 days and for more than 4 months in a fdeezer.

Pawpaw

According to christopher columbus, he called pawpaw the friut of angels. Everything about pawpaw is useful even the leaf. The leaf extract contains anti-carcinogenic which is effective for the treatment of tumor cells.
The use of pawpaw for medicine has been on the rise in recent time.

The fruit is been enjoyed for it's sweetness, but it's medical purpose can not be left out.

Nutritional contents

  • vitamin c
  • calcium
  • Iron
  • Riboflavin
  • Thiamin
  • Naicin
  • Vitamin A

It's is rich in fibre which is needed for bowel movement, vitamin A and C helps boost our immune system, and healthy eyes.

Warning

Semi ripe pawpaw is considered as a harmful fruit for pregnant women. Consuming a large amount of it might lead to abortion.

Avacado pear

The origin of this fruit can be traced to south mexico, it is under the family of lauraceae flowering plant.

You can also call avacado pear, butter pear or alligator pear because of it's shape.
The plant grows in warm climmates but bears more fruit during raining season.

The uniqueness of this fruit can not be over emphasied.
It can be added to meals for it's flavour and it is the main ingredient for guacamole.

  • Pottassium
  • Folate
  • Vitamin K
  • Vitamin B6
  • Vitamin B5

Healthy fat
This pear is enriched with a type of fat that is healthy to the body. 77% fat forms the calories in avacado pear.

This fat is called oleic acid. This fat reduces inflammation.

@jovita30, I love all these friuts you mentioned. I enjoy watermelon so much, especially after eating my dinner. It aids in food digestion...

I also love banana, avacado and pineapple, but paw paw, no. I don't really enjoy paw paw.

Beautiful review you have here. I can see the baby is enjoying with you. Fruits are very healthy and contain so many vitamins and minerals and they serve as great snacks.

I love eating fruits alot.

You're absolutely correct when you said that the benefits of avocado can't be overstated. It's actually the best fruit. Even it's seeds have a wonderful benefits too. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us here.

Regardless, I love pineapple so much, I have looked for it around my area this weekend, but I can't find it. It's teste is second to none. It's also good to know learn from your post that it. An be stored in the fridge unlike citrus. Thank you for this beautiful entry
