Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 2 | Promote Steem in your City and try to recruit a new user!

Greetings to you my dear, and how are you doing. I am so happy to be a participant of the great contest that is organized by @steemalive. Steemit is a social media platform that we all need to promote in our various city, street, neighborhood, online, workplace or whichever means that is best to you.

What methods did you use in promoting Steem (e.g word of mouth, social media, etc)

My method of promoting Steem is word of mouth. I usually used word of month in promoting Steem at any place that I find myself must precisely in my neighborhood and workplace.

Did you use any Promotional materials and branding? (fliers, Branded Tshirts, Banners, etc)

Branding is what I do use as my promotional method. When it comes to branding, I believe I can do better and it was part of the reason I once published a post titled: Ways to introduce Steemit to Investors, family and friends

The strategy for my Steem promotional branding is usually done in this format :

• Firstly I asked the person if he/she has heard about cryptocurrency like Steem before. If yes, I will then asked if he/she has invested in Steem.

• The thing I do is Introducing Steem blockchain and Steemit platform to the person. ( Here, I will make sure that the person fully understand what Steem/Steemit is a about).

• The next is asking the person he/she can write nor have passion for writing, then if the person say yes, I will then let he/she know that Steemit only accept original content and the Investments opportunities that is in Steemit. After telling the person a lot about Steemit I then assist the person in signing up. And after the person has signed up the next thing is for me to support the he/she with liquid Steem.

• In a situation where the person is not ready to be a content creator, I will make sure he/she invest in Steem. At this point, normally open Binance exchange and Roqqu wallet for the person, verified his/her account fund and then buy Steem for the person to hold and sell when the price rise.

How did people respond to your promotion efforts?

Eversince I began recruiting people to invest on Steem and also join Steemit, I usually get two types of respond which are;

When discussing with people about Steemit for the first time, their respond is normally negative since it's done online. Some respond will be please Sir Joe, anything online business I don't want to hear I am tired of been scam online I don't want to try again.

Some will tell me that their need to see the evidence of what am telling them and that of my withdrawal.

One good is that at the end of everything there will start loving Steem even more than me after they had joined and spend some time on Steemit.

What are the main challenges that hinder users from joining?

The main challenges that hinder users from joining after discussing with them are; Smartphone/Laptop and Time.

Phone/Laptop: A lot of users do complained about not having a smart phone or laptop that their can be using. At the same time those users that has smartphone/Laptop, some of them do complained of money for data subscription and time factor.

Most of the users are engaged with other works that doesn't give them time to even look at their smartphone.

Where you able to sign up new users? If yes, how did you convince them to join?

Yes I was able to sign up new users in my neighborhood. I start by asking the new user if he had head about cryptocurrency before and he said yes but he didn't know how to go about it.

My method of convincing them to join was that of my branding strategy. I told them that Steemit is a social media platform that rewards content Creator for publishing original content and it's one of the best platform for investment.

As for @mbamcollins, whom I sign up today being 9-06-2022. I told him that there are many opportunities in Steemit when him join and I then show him the amount of STEEM, SDB, Steem Power and Tron that is on my Steemit wallet and calculated it using Roqqu price and he was like waooh please helo me and create an account.

Apart from the new user which I sign in today, there are other users that I have been able to sign in last week. @ogbosico5, @barrykoko and @agesmelick are the users that I sign in last week.

What are the main challenges you faced during Steem Promotion

I faced so many challenges during Steem promotion by users which are sometimes annoying because of their manner of approach/relationship.

Some users will tend to be asking questions that are totally out of what we are discussing about.

Some after joining find it difficult to understand how the platform works, the type of post their are to post and how to apply markdown is of more challenges when teaching someone within the first week.

Some users after a week of creating their account tend to lost their passwords (keys).

Network and device was also a challenge. Some users their smartphone are 3G network and their phone RAM is low which making their phone to be operating slowly.

Suggest ways we can overcome challenges to Steem Promotion.

One of the way we can overcome the first challenge of users that tend to be asking questions that is out of Steemit discussion when Introducing them for the first time is to tell the user to make his/her research about Steem blockchain and Steemit platform. This will helps the user to have deep understanding of Steem and Steemit.

In my case what I normally do is to refer users to read Steemit FAQ. Doing this will help the new users you are Introducing to understand things about Steem and Steemit better before you can then start showing them the practical aspect of everything their need to know.

We can overcome challenges of those users that are finding it difficult to post such as applying markdown in their post by assisting them in writing in subscribing to communities and helping them to write their achievement 1 to 2 task.

We can also overcome challenges by sending the text editor we are using for writing to users. In my case I am using Markor to type my works and it is what I do send to anyone that I recruited.

Teach them the best way to store their keys and how their can use each of the keys.

Finally, in the are of network and low phone capacity, when signing users we can use our own personal device in assisting them.

If possible you, try hard to recruit one user and assist them to do their introduction post. This will also help you to score higher Take pictures with your recruit if any

As I have earlier say today, i succeeded and recruited one user after talking to four users about Steemit one of them fell in love with Steemit and I then created an account for him and assisted him in his Introduction post.
