Introduction

Hello, hai, hai 😂, how is everyone doin today.
We thank God for his numerous helps and blessings on daily bases on us the living, may his name be glorified always for his favours on us.

Well it's known that nobody survives without food and water, that leads to expenses even if you will not spend on clothes regularly, you must spend on food items more than anything else, Let's go and see how far.

What is budget

We already know that budget talks about how you spend your earnings. Those that go by budgeting are conscious on what to spend on and how to spend their money. Budget can be planed on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or even yearly. Living by budget is good, it helps one to spend the hard earned money accurately, you will be able to save some money and also invest. We should try to invest, investing in a profitable venture is like owning a gold mine. There are long terms and short terms budgeting and planning. In this aspect, we are asked to make budget on our weekly expenses.

It's good to go by budget or budgeting because inflation is heating very hard on everyone in this country, Nigeria. If you do not budget on your expenses, you may end up spending on things you do not need and still owe some people after all.

We recently heard that just last April 2022, it was discovered that Nigerian inflation rose up to 17.01%. This days, the price you bought an item in the morning may not be exactly same price later that same day. Today the news has it that one U.S dollar is equals to 500 naira, can you imagine that? It's bitting everyone very hard, but we must keep soaring and keep steeming. Let's go.

MONDAY

• Monday is the beginning of the week, we get up hopeful for the weeks endeavors so we eat very well to face the challenges.
  Break fast... from breakfast in the morning to dinner in the evening......#4,500 = 35 steem.

TUESDAY

• Tuesday from breakfast in the morning to dinner in the evening is..... #3,200 = 4.6 steem.

WEDNESDAY

• Wednesday from breakfast in the morning to dinner at night....#6,000 = 5 steem.

THURSDAY

• Thursdays, I normally go for family food shopping to store up my kitchen store again for the coming week, so I spend more money doing that. The budget is higher.....#16,000 = 11. 53 steem.

FRIDAY

• Friday from our breakfast in the morning to our dinner at night..... #3,000 = 4.5 steem.

SATURDAY

• Saturday we are totally at home because it's a weekend we eat more #4,500 = 35 steem.

SUNDAY

• Sunday we to church very early, we don't eat before going. As we come back we eat and relax at home together so we eat constantly it increases the budget #6,000 = 5 .5 steem.
  The budget for feeding excluding utility bills in my house in a week is #27,200 = 83 steem.

UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION

Fuel for the generator + the engine oil #2,000 = 4.5 steem.
Transportation to and from our business places #3,600 = 2.8 steem
Recharge cards to get data for writing contests and make calls #500 = 5 steem
NEPA bills weekly is #1,000 =0.9 steem.

Grand total budget for a week in my house is #43,200. Equivalent to 333 steem.

Conclusion, items in the open markets, supermarkets everywhere both rural and urban areas are very costly. This is why a week's budget seems like a whole month budget. We must keep living so long as God has given us life.
Let the government of the state and Nigeria keep a very strong price controls to check and keep stable the prices of goods mostly that of food items in the markets, reachable to all.
