Introduction

I can only describe the 5th day of Aba road Show in two words - Fun and Productive. Its was really a massive awareness created for Steemit. We even had delegations from the the nearby city of Umuahia that attended and joined the outreach. A big thanks to @ladyofpolicy and @tripplem for making the huge sacrifice to travel down from Umuahia and join us to do the road show. We also thank @ngoenyi who met us Kilimanjaro Restrauant and contributed so much to the fun of the whole event. It was indeed something not to quickly forget. Here is how we started.

From the Center to Bata Junction

@samuel20 and other team members met at the Aba training center and after some time getting ready, they left the center for the designated location. I met them few minutes afterwards as I didn;t come at the time we scheduled due to a minor delay. We have been to Bata junction before, but we decided to repeat because of the amount of pedestrian traffic that does past the junction. After taking a few pictures, we started work immediately, approaching passersby and introducing Steemit to them. As always expected, a lot of people were eager to hear us and join the program.

My Personal Efforts

I took the initiative to try and meet people that would probably listen to me. With more than 150 fliers, I was ready to talk about Steemit. A spoke to a lot of people although some are in a hurry. But some also gave me time to stand and talk with them. It was not really easy as the sun was really hard yesterday. I was able to speak to some people and also take pictures with the few that gave me more time. I assisted @marajah to sign up @godwin15 and @kizito16. I also spoke to and signed up @eddyway240 who is a security man working with Crunchies. All of these people are preparaing their achievement 1 post. Refreshment after the Show

It was not easy standing in the blazing sun for more than 2 hours. So its really important to be able to get refreshed after the campaign. So when we closed, we went to a nearby fastfood restaurant called Kilimanjaro to get ourselves something to eat. Its a cool space and enough space for the 11 persons that participated. We took orders from our members and eat some nice food this time around as you can see in the images below:

Conclusion

We are creating a lot of awareness for Steem through the road show. Almost everyone that we met said they have not heard about Steemit before. So apart from the signups, people are getting to learn about Steemit and it is really huge. We thank all the volunteers and wish them well as they work with us in promoting Steemit to every doorstep in Nigeria
