Introduction

I am delighted to announce the kick off of the first project which I and other promotion teams in SteemALive community will be taking part in. Steem Road Show would be the first project we want to undertake under the SteemAlive Community Impact Network. The Steem Road Show is a public awareness program for Steemit and the Steem blockchain. We want to let our city dwellers learn about Steemit by creating a regular presence at busy roads and streets. Here are details of what we want to do from tomorrow:

Steem Road Show - How we planned it

The Steem Road Show would happen at popular road junctions where traffic is heavy almost through out the day. Teams of 3 or more Steemians in branded Tshirts would work together on the Show. They will choose a popular road junction, know for its busy traffic. They will set up rollup banners for public display. Then members of the team will reach out to passersby, share fliers to them and explain the Steem Opportunity to anyone that would care to learn more.

When someone indicates interest, a team member can sign them up and guide them to do the first post - achievement 1. Then, the new recruit would be encouraged to attend our physical training at the center where ongoing mentorship and support would be provided. This is probably a road show is done for Steemit in Nigeria since recently. I hope that through this project, many would come to learn about the Steem blockchain.

Here is how we have been preparing to kick off the project in Aba.

Banner for the Aba Training Center

I made a big banner for the Aba training center located at 208 Azikiwe Road Aba. Since the center is located at a busy road intersection, the banner will make it easy for new recruits to easily identify us when they visit the center. Moreover, a few people have come to ask about Steemit after they saw the banner which was hung last week.

Mobile Roll-up Banner

This is an important tool which would be used to attract the attention of passersby when we start the Road Show tomorrow. The roll-up banner was designed by me and sent to the printer. It was delivered to the center today, ready for our Road Show which kicks off tomorrow. I took a few shots after the banner was delivered.

We hope to have favorable weather tomorrow as we kick off the road show so that we can install the banner outdoors.

SteemAlive Branded Tshirts

We also did some branded Tshirts which all team members will wear to make for a more rounded corporate image. We bought two colors - black and white. But for now, only the black Tshirt has been printed. The white Tshirt would be made ready shortly. We have distributed the Tshirts to the team members that will be taking part in the Road Show Tomorrow.

Fliers

We are going to make good use of fliers to reach out to everyone on the street. So we have printed fliers enough quantity that we will hand out. Our contacts and the office address is in the flier so that it will be easy for the receiver to get in touch with us quickly. Here are some of the fliers we have printed:

Steemit branded business cards

We have also planned some Steem branded business cards for the project. But unfortunately, the business cards would not be ready for this first time of the Road show. But we are confident it would be ready by our second outing. The business card will be used to share contacts while are campaigning for Steem. When they look at the card, it would represent steemit as a whole. The card is still under production

Tomorrow Aba and Uyo Kicks off the Road Show

We have been planning the road show across all the cities where SteemALive have members in Nigeria. But to kick it off, @focusnow will be leading a team in Aba while @ngoenyi will take her team from Uyo. They will report at the end of the day how their Road show happened. After that, other cities will follow the lead and run the Road show. We will see to it that the road show happens simultaneously across major cities in Nigeria.

Conclusion

We hope that the Steem Road Show achieves its intended target - to create more awareness for the Steem platform. We also want this project to reflect the ideals of the SIM project, which is to touch lives so as to motivate them to join Steemit.
