INTRODUCTION
Hello my wonderful friends, you are welcome to week #5 of the ProWritingHub contest.
In today's post i will be talking about Bribery and Corruption which is topic 7 of the ProWritingHub contest.
DEFINITION OF BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION
BRIBERY: These is the act or the process of making a payment to someone in official positions illegally, either in cash or in kind.
CORRUPTION: These can be defined as dishonest or the act of conducting fraudulent by those in higher positions.
WHY BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION IS COMMON
In today's world, a lot of people are consumed with greed, preference and love for material things, because of these they can do anything just to get what they want or the position they want.
HOW BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION HAPPENS IN MY STATE AND COUNTRY AS A WHOLE
Seriously, there are different ways which bribery and Corruption happens in my state and country as a whole.
Some students in higher institutions do bribe their course lecturer just to have better grades than others
Some security personnel in my country like the navy, police officers etc, normally collect bribes from people and allow them to bring in illegal stuff like hard drugs(cocaine etc).
Even the young girls of nowadays are now selling their body just to archive what the couldn't archive and also for money
WHY IS WRONG FOR PUBLIC OFFICE HOLDERS TO GET INVOLVED IN BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION
It is very weong for poblic office holders to indulge their self in such in such act, because;
They are the once we look up to, so it's right for them to love by example for us to follow.
It will tanish the image and the reputation of the country.
WHAT SHOULD BE DONE TO PUBLIC OFFICE HOLDERS THAT INVOLVED IN BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION
As we all know, bribery and Corruption is a very serious effence, and i think anyone that indulge in such act should be punished.
Below are the things i think should be done to them;
He or she should be remove and not allowed to occupy any office again.
The person should be arrested
The person should be sue to court and sentence to prison to serve according to the law.
CONCLUSION
Bribery and Corruption is very bad cause it doesn't only spoil the person's reputation, you will face penalties for your actions, that's why it is not good to indulge in such act.

In today's society, people are being more and more aware of the importance of being honest and not resorting to bribery and corruption. However, when it comes to certain events, such as medical emergencies, it is not always possible to be honest.

Corruption and bribery have been around for centuries, and it's not always easy to get rid of them. There are many ways to try and eliminate corruption and bribery from the world,but it's not always a simple task.
I don't thing they will be able to eliminate bribery and corruption

People that have power in the government are the ones who usually have the ability to bribe others and get away with it. Even though bribes are illegal, they are still a common occurrence in society.
People in power are the ones spoiling the country, cause the do anything just to cover up their tracks...

Bribery is one of thing that is causing corruption in Nigeria and there are people who can't do without it which is bad.
Especially people in the higher places, like the government
