THE DIARY GAME 7/09/2020. MY DAY 10.
Reflection makes you terrace your steps and become a better version of you.
Greetings dear steem people. Hope you are doing great its yet a other opportunity to share with you how my day went. Here it goes.
DEAR DIARY.
Today was mostly an innermost day (day of silenced and self reflection) I woke up at exactly 6:41am.
Since it's a lockdown day, there was no going to work today. Just to sun the dresses I washed on Sunday after church. I did my morning prayers. And went back to bed but sleep was not forth coming so I left my room and went to the sitting room. My mother had gone to church for morming mass, my brother had gone to.the hospital (he's a doctor) and my father was outside in the garden.
I stepped out of the house and cleaned a few dirty shoes and came back in. I did not eat anything I'm the morning. Because I had gone so deep into the reflection so much such that I hadn't any appetite.
There was no electricity so my phone was off the whole day. I could not take pictures 😔😔.
I went to the kitchen to prepare lunch. As soon as I was done. It was time for Small Christian Community. (I am a Catholic)
At the Small Christian Community, I had been given a task to come up with a sketch portraying the mystery of light. It was for the celebration of our jubilee year. So we did a few rehearsals on the sketch and planned other activities concerning the jubilee celebration. (No pictures again because of low battery 😭😭😭😭).
After we close I headed straight home. Lights were back. Hurray!. So my phone has charged up to an extend. I turned it on and got the amazing news that my friend @njiatanga had been made the country representative for steemit in Cameroon. This news made my evening. I had been shouting in joy and my parents be like "is she ok". I really appreciate the recognition. His efforts have not gone on vein. He actually deserves such a post. He is a great leader, patient and understanding. I am sure he will take our platform to higher heights. The joy was just too much. After all the jubilation and joy. Super was served. This time I was very hungry. (Reflection was over 😂😂😂). We had super.
Picture taken during super. At home. This evening. After super I dived straight into more stencil making and drawing of dresses. I took a picture of my sister marking... Every girl in the house can mark
I carved out my stencil and I was feeling how good it looked. After the carving out these stencils we usually draw it on the dress to be marked.
😂😂😂. So I tested the stencil on a dress and it was amazing. I admired it so much although still at a very tender stage of the marking process. See for yourself.
This picture was taken this evening. After I finished carving out the stencil.
This is a typical northwest "Atoghu". Used worldwide by northwesterners to portray our rich culture. But anyone can wear it
It still sells the culture. Many people usually place orders and it is marked for them. Especially from this September till December (festive period). This dress can be marked in a week's time or four days of intensive marking. Trouser's and gowns are also marked but the Atoghu is the most commonly worn dress of this traditional regalia. It's a dress of respect and honour.
I would like to end here for tonight.
Actually I am still awake with mother. She is still marking and I have a couple of dresses to draw.
Thank you for reading how my day went. See you tomorrow.
