What a pity the house is abandoned. Of all houses where I lived the villa of my grandpartents is the best too. I think I loved the way it was buid, the high ceilings, old fashioned lights and the windows, stairs higher with bigger steps as I ever saw. The build in closets, ceiling and even the cellar underneath a part of the house. I assume it was sold I would have bought it if I was rich.
Many of my family emigrated too. I learned once they leave they change and it will never be the same.

@wakeupkittty thank you. The old houses architectures are really cool. If they were modernized, it would also be cool. Thank you for sharing your anecdote. Looks like we all have got family members abroad
My family are travelers, leave if they feel it's better elsewhere but I learned in most cases it's not once you live there and the holiday (feeling) is over. For me I wish more sun though and higher temps but I doubt it is in it.
The USA is not attractive to me. Too many live out on the streets. You are on your own there plus I am not a fan of Biden and loud people.
