ACTIVITIES AS A COUNTRY REPRESENTATIVE WITHIN THE WEEK (11/08 - 18/08)

Greetings steemit team,

I would like to present my weekly report on the activities I did as the country representative of Ghana. Working hand in hand with my colleague reps to help the growth of our ghanaian community is my top priority on steemit is something I hold in high esteem on the platform. By doing so we are able to increase activeness as well as improve retention within our community.

OUR VIRTUAL CONFERENCE

Last week, we met with steemians across the country and had a very interactive virtual conference. During this session, we discussed the long term goals we should be thinking about as steemians in order to stay focused and keep growing our accounts. Steemians were encouraged to team up and start impactful projects. That way they can have a common goal and be well motivated to accomplish it.

TIPS FOR NEWBIES

Newbies need to be guided constantly on the platform so that they can know how to blog effectively. This is because, they may not have effective guidance from their recruiter or after they have found themselves on the platform. I therefore make it a point to provide the needed information to assist these newbies in order to make them great steemians here.

Last week, we had an unfortunate situation whereby one of our steemians was involved in a motor accident. This was quite unfortunate and I rushed to the hospital to visit him as soon as I was told about the situation. It is good to see that his situation is improving gradually and he seems to be responding to treatment. However, he still needs some support and I pray he makes a full recovery.

PRESENTATION AT THE FEMALE INVESTOR SEMINAR

We are currently taking conscious steps towards increasing the number of female steemians we have in the country. That way we can have some gender balance on the blockchain as we strive to bring newbies and investors on board. This meeting was quite fruitful as we saw some female accounts reactivated as well as bring a newbie on board.

Each day, I make it a point to visit various posts trooping in from our steemians, cast a vote as well as leave a comment or feedback. These curation activities are usually centered on communities with significant ghanaian population or where our steemians are concentrated such as Steem Ghana, Promo Steem and World of Football so that no one gets left out. Newcomers are also being guided to be able to complete their achievement tasks for a better understanding of the platform.

FUTURE ACTIVITIES

We are going to have a telegram meeting tomorrow to discuss the latest developments in our steem ghana community and some of the steps we have taken to improve our community. Also, we plan on carrying out more events to reach out to steemians in order to get them active and vibrant on the blockchain.

I will continue to give my best to support our members on the steemit ecosystem and would be working with my fellow country reps to better improve our community.
