Rural Transportation

This is a type of transportation where movement of goods and people are transported from one place to another through short distances.

The rural areas aren't developed like the cities so it requires small scale transport vehicle for transportation. In rural transportation, the means of living is mostly farming, hence goods are transported with low cost vehicles.

Methods Of Rural Transportation

In the city, we have a lot of modern transport vehicle ranging from Uber Drivers To Electric Trains. But here in the rural settlement, there's no such vehicle like that. But that doesn't stop us from transporting people and goods. Below are methods used to transport in rural areas.

Menial Labourers

In rural areas, there are alot of bad roads and this is due to improper management, so in order to tackle this challenge, Menial Labourers built a carriage with wheels in which they use it for transporting goods and equipment. This method of transportation tends to be stressful as it involves man power to conduct it.The average Menial Labourer can make about 2000 naira(8 steem) a day.

Advantages of Menial Labourers

• No resources needed to conduct this transportation which results in higher profits. E.g Fuel, Electricity
• Anyone that start this business since there's no educational level involved.
• They know every nooks and crannies in the community.

Disadvantages Of Menial Labourers

• It can be stressful due to high man power needed.
• The workers are mostly poor.
• Patronage is low due to low population.

Motorcycle

This is a vehicle that is equipped with two wheels. This vehicle has become a necessity since it doesn't require much petrol for it to run which means higher profits. It's used to transport mostly people from one place to another. The average Motorcyclist can make about 5000 naira(18 steem) a day.

Advantages Of Motorcycle

• It's fast and easy to use.
• Anyone with skill of driving can start this transport business.
• It's a type of self-employed business

Disadvantages Of Motorcycle

• Cost of maintenance of parts are high.
• No safety measures applied when on the road. E.g No Seatbelts, Airbag
• It emits Carbon monoxide which can be dangerous to the environment.

Conclusion
That concludes my review on this type of business, indeed the labourers are suffering a lot and need to modernize but it's just the government are reluctant to take responsibilities and make some changes. I hope they'll get a better business. Thanks for reading...
