Name of tourist place;

Agbokim Waterfalls, Cross River State

Friend, "Agbokim Waterfalls, Cross River State is the name of the tourist place that I like so much in my town. Agbokim Waterfalls is a collection of seven different Cascades which pour over a cliff creating an impressive seven different part waterfall.

Location (including transportation access points);

The Agbokim Waterfalls is situated 17 kilometers from Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State Nigeria where I am staying and about 326 kilometers far away from Calabar which is the State capital of Cross River State.

Agbokim Waterfalls is very close to Nigeria-Cameroon border which makes the place very interesting. From Calabar down to agbokim Waterfalls will cost you about 4000NGN (30 Steem) which is about 4 hr 29 minute on vehicle which you can see from screenshot image above.

The access points to agbokim Waterfalls from Margaret Ekpo International Airport Calabar is very easy. All you have to do is to follow the directions on your Google map as shown from the image below.

Public facilities;

The entire waterfalls is the public facilities of agbokim Waterfalls. Once you have visit the water and pass through the main gate which is carved with wooden material, you will get to see all the public facilities of the waterfall ranging form the hill, the seven Cascades waterfall, lush greenery, steep hills and valleys which are enveloped in a 🌈 rainbow colours. Looking at the images above, you can see that the waterfalls is full with freshness, captivating and full with alluring serenity of waters and rock.

Costs (including the cost of tickets, transportation, food, lodging and others if any);

The cost of entering Agbokim waterfalls is 1500NGN (12 Steem) which is the tickets fees. Once you have pay for your tickets the gate will be open for you as shown from the image below.

As for transportation, it is base on the location that a visitor is coming from. Those living within the village pay lesser transportation which is 200 NGN (1.54 Steem). However, if you are coming from Calabar, you have to first stop at Ikom Local Government area before transporting yourself to the waterfalls which is about 800 NGN (7.2 Steem).

As for lodging there are several Hotels both in Ikom Local Government and where the waterfalls is suited they you can lodge for as low as 5,000 NGN (33 Steem).

What is unique and interesting about the tourist destination compared to other tourist destinations, may include the local wisdom of local residents;

Agbokim waterfalls is a very unique and interesting tourist place that is surrounded by lush greenery, steep hills that are enveloped in a rainbow colours as I have earlier said,full with valleys. The water that is falling down from the valleys is very fresh and often captive the minds of visitors.

Indeed Agbokim waterfalls is an ideal tourist place for a vocation, picnic, getting back into nature and a place that can make you to regain your well being, creative productivity by the time the waterfall has finish descending on your body.

Finally, Agbokim waterfalls is one of the tourist place in Cross River State that is very spectacular when it comes to rainy season were you would get to see rainbow across the entire face of the waterfall. In addition the waterfall is unique and Interesting as it one of the coolest place that is neighbouring Cameroon which offers a tangible opportunity for cross border experience for both Nigerians and Camerounians.
