Contest - Which Steemians Country Would you Like to Travel to?

I am here to participate in "Contest - Which Steemians Country Would you Like to Travel to?" By ripon0630. I have a lot of info available about Bangladesh but as I have no images of my own so I have used authentic sources but I am not comfortable writing about travel unless I have my own photos, I will keep them limited.

As a traveler, there are a couple of countries on my wishlist that I have wanted to visit for a long time but have missed the opportunity for one reason or another. One of them is Bangladesh, which is close to my country, and I have even flown over it a number of times.

I was posted in Kolkata, West Bengal, and had an official offer to go and visit Dhaka because we in India used the same technology (16 khz signals) in our PCO machines as in Bangladesh, and India was one of the leading suppliers of the same to Bangladesh. However, the use of PCO came to a halt as mobile phones took over the landline.

One of our distributors in Maldah, who was basically from Dhaka, even offered to give me a company in Dhaka, but that did not materialize, so my desire to visit Dhaka remained a desire.

As a traveler and someone interested in cultures, I wanted to go and see places in Bangladesh. I once took a steamer trip in the Sundarbans, which made me even more interested. There are many similarities between this side of Bengal and that side of Bengal, which made me even more curious.

When I see photos of cities in Bangladesh, they remind me of Indian cities, especially in Bengal, and I want to go there asap. By the way, I can speak workable Bangla, which I learned during my stay in Kolkata, although, as they say, the people in Bangladesh speak a little different version. That's so common in India too, as the language differs and has a new dialect every 30–40 km.

I am interested to see places of tourism and converse with locals, especially with @ripon0630, @pea07, @piya3 and many more.

As far as I know, I would prefer to ask @rippon to guide me to the places because I have read his blogs about tourist destinations and feel he is good at them.

Lalbagh Fort

There is a long list, including:

Lalbagh Fort and Museum I have heard that it has some pictures from the Mughal era as well as their arms.
I have heard they have a grand mosque here, which matches our own Jama mosque.
Yes, I would like to visit the Armenian Church, Star Mosque, Ahsan Manzil, Parliament Building, and of course the local Kawran's Bazar.

I would have gone to visit the Sundarbans, but that takes time, and I have already visited them from the Indian side. For your information, the Sundarbans are one of the world's most famous heritage sites, spread over a large area in beautiful forests and the delta of the River Ganges.

I would love to visit Chittagong, as this is one of the places that I always wanted to visit. As they say, it's equivalent to Mumbai, the commercial capital of Bangladesh. If I have the opportunity, I will go to the port of Chittagong.

Next on my list is Sylhet, one of the most beautiful places with lush green tea plantations and a famous valley. I have seen Darjeeling; therefore, I believe I will see something similar here. I would love to visit the orange and pineapple gardens and, of course, other famous places.

Rangamati

Being a person who loves to pass through zigzag roads full of greenery, mountains, and natural scenery, I would love to visit Rangamati in Chittagong.

I am a lake lover as I live close to Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra and Naini Lake not so far from Delhi, I would love to visit Lake "Kaptai," which is considered the heart of the area, is what attracts me to Rangamati. Boating on this lake has its own fun.

And then my friends will guide me to other famous places like Jamboree Park in Agrabad.

How long do you want to stay there, and how much will your entire trip cost in Steem?

I am short on time right now, so I would prefer to stay there for 5-7 days and cover as many destinations as possible. Lucky for us, there is air service available, which takes less than 3 hours. I know Bangladesh is not so costly, but it costs as much as it does in India or less.

I have an estimate of what it would cost me to stay in Bangladesh for 5 days. Please keep it in mind that I will not stay there in big hotels but in 2-star hotels, since I have to travel to the places and it's a pleasure trip.

The return ticket from Delhi-Dhaka STEEM 750.
Food and lodging for 5 days @100 STEEM 500
Cab Charges for 5 Days @100/day STEEM 500
Other expenses STEEM 250

I invite @alegnita @senehasa and @memamun

It's unfortunate that your desire to visit Dhaka couldn't be fulfilled, but it's remarkable how technology has transformed our communication landscape. The transition from PCO machines to mobile phones is a testament to the rapid progress we have witnessed. Despite not being able to personally experience Dhaka, your involvement in the supply chain between India and Bangladesh demonstrates the interconnectedness and collaboration between the two countries. It's inspiring to see how technology bridges gaps and fosters connections beyond borders. Your story serves as a reminder of the ever-changing nature of our world and the opportunities that arise from technological advancements.

That's so very true. What we thought was a useful technology for the common man from 1992 to 2008 lost its value as mobile technology took over landline. Fortunately, our company had multiple products including cash registers and a complete solution for the dairy industry. But if mobile technology made things easy for the masses it left a section of people jobless too, but that's how is the life. Thanks for kind words.

Thank you so much for inviting me to the contest, although I can't partake because I'm moderating here. 😁 But like always is pleasant to read your lines related to the travel topic. By visiting someone in Bangladesh, of course I immediately think about Ripon to let him guide me on this particular land and know those lovely places I'd like to see in my trips. Thank you so much for sharing once again your content here. I wish you good luck in this opportunity. My regards.

To be frank, I have been searching for the possibility of visiting Bangladesh for more than a decade but as I stay overseas most of the time I missed it despite my multiple visits to India during this period. This time it was COVID that stopped me from going anywhere and now I am about to go back. But yes, I would definitely visit Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bali, and the Philippines as and when possible.

Moderators can't participate in contests? I do mention that my post is not for the contest. I am going to write a contest post in a short while in Hindwhale and probably post my entry later as well. I do the same in Dream Steem too. Have a tight sleep because it must be close to midnight in your country.

Bangla and India are definitely the best options, at least for me to learn about a very different cultures. Well, of course I can partake in other communities contests except travel where I'm having an eye here, don't u think? ☺️ For sure COVID period was a very wasted one due to the long term of time by raising too many restrictions for my taste.

Thanks for mentioning India in your list. I request you to check my contest post in the Hindwhale community that I posted yesterday and share your beautiful ideas. And this timezone difference will always play games between you and me because when you sleep I wake up and vice versa. Thanks again.

Ohh... Hind Whale! Let me check it soon. ☺️ I'm full of notifications right now because the recent meeting I made with others and I am reading everything. Of course difference in local time zone is very huge. ✔️

You want to travel Bangladesh. Your choice is right .My country is naturally different from yours .Bangladeshi hospitality is really enjoyable and you have to make different food choices.I invite to you my country to see nature and culture in yourself.

Thanks for your invitation but as a former part of Bengal I don't feel much difference in Bangladesh compared to Bengal in the Indian part. I am sure, I will find similar people in Bangladesh as I see in Kolkata or Darjeeling, Maldah etc. Thanks again.

¡Congratulations! This post has been upvoted through -steemcurator07. We support quality posts, and good comments anywhere, with any tags.
