Below is my five minute #freewrite on my two day double prompts:
concert & keeping it straight

Yesterday I took my brother to get a pet scan for his six month check-up and while I was waiting for him, this old guy started talking to me about the weather. The temperature had gone down about 20° degrees in the last couple of hours and he was just shooting the shit. He had a tee shirt that read, "I MAY BE OLD BUT I GOT TO SEE ALL THE COOL BANDS!" Here's a photo of it that I got off coolpress®, a tee shirt retailer.
As we were talking about all the concerts that we had attended, and I was having a hard time keeping in straight in my mind, because I've been to alotta concerts and I wasn't always sober. You see my sister worked for the hottest rock station in San Antonio back in the 80's and she always got me backstage passes to them all. Journey, Metallica, Def Leppard, Pink Floyd, Stevie Rey Vaughn, and my favorite Fleetwood Mac, I was kinda spoiled. Just to let you know, I was never thin enough to go crowd surfing. I used to have all my backstage passes on a file cabinet at work, but I didn't pull them down when I retired, except for the autographed ones. That old man brought back some great memories yesterday and now I'm still thinking about it. I guess I'm lucky that I'm easy to talk to, or just easy. 😁 Today was a tough day for me, my buddy buried his mom today and he broke down at the cemetery. I went to his house and spent most of the day with him and we needed that time together. Hug your folks tonight, if you still can! 💕

What a nice memory! No one ever starts talking to me except for telemarketers, but even they are not very persuasive and after a couple of minutes of talk just hang up the phone. You are the lucky one. :)
