Grey
The weather, no matter the weather forecast or watching the sky it can't be trusted.
A shiny early morning with a blue, cloudless sky changed into grey within four hours time of which I spent some in bed feeling cold.
"Will the weather be fine today," my child asked before we left home to drive to the bus stop in the village. The day before it was windy and warm and I washed all the wet clothes of the first day at school that changed the youngest into a "drowned cat" as it texted with the remark the busdriver would hopefully not complain about it and let her in the bus. A drive of over one hour can hardly be walked.
The sky... it looked great and promising. Once out of bed the grey was alarming but the weather was still good enough to mow the lawn. The rain makes it grow fast and the only way to get all the work done is by doing it.
For two and half hours I had time to think. Gardening isn't really relaxing. While mowing I remember all kind of situaties and can can get really angry about how people treated me in the past. This time I mainly worried about a child getting wet again most likely because it left with exactly the same clothes. It started raining a bit at the time I nearly finished the part I planned to mow for today.
The grey sky turned into black but so far no shower yet. It saves me watering the plants.
